First off, I'm really not a zombie... I've just been away from my apartment for the holidays and havent had the chance to steel Starcham's laptop for any real length of time until now 
. I havent been able to put in as much work on The Gift as I was hopping mostly due to a bit of a fear of taking my pants on a plane based on the various stories of crazy-[censored] security on flights now. I wasn't sure what I could and couldn't take with me (and I'll be damned if I'll put my tools in baggage to be checked and lost) as last time I flew, Tears for Fears were really big 
Times have changed since then I think.
Either way, I managed to hijack some of Starchasm's paints and am back to work and have a bit of an update here...
The Gift: Color01
Here I have been mostly concentrating on the shadowy background and pushing Kitty back into it. Ill be focusing in on Kat and the Cop next
I would have uploaded it to my DA account, but for the life of me I can not remember my password... eh, I'll get it fixed soon.
Oh, and COH_NPG, thanks for the input on Kitties hair. I had originally had it a bit more believable but just didn't like the way it looked. It obscured too much of her face and the perspective made it look weirdly cut. I often fudge my perspectives up a lot (I don't like reality... it's never been nice to me so I shall not be nice to it :P ) and in this case, I decided to have the hair swept a bit to the left for a bit more drama (I have to get some use outa my artistic license or they'll take it away from me!). Still, thanks for the keen eye, I still do miss some of the most obvious things

Of course they let me on. Once they beheld the shear aw and magnificent wonder of an unbridled me, they would not, nay, could not deny my passage. Besides, I had to leave my pants as they were holding my paints.

I kinda know how you feel now TA. At the moment, I'm stuck with shanghaiing Starchasm's laptop to fire off a post or two while she's at work and her wacky crazy pug goes into his usual morning comma .
Well, I have a bit more of an update on the feral kat piece. It's going a bit slower then usual as I don't have all of my tools here, have to make due with Stars but with all luck, I'm hoping to have it wrapped up by tonight (assuming the sepia pens that were ordered come in the mail today... I wish I had my tools *sigh*)

Love it when you start adding color to your pieces and it sucks you don't have your tools. Why didn't you bring em man? lol
Looking great bro but for some reason she looks a bit too skinny. I know shes tiny but with ** she's never been that thin. I love Feral Kitty on the ceiling though!!

*headtilt* I thought Kitty had a fishnet top and black leather pants, not a black leather top and fishnet leggings... meh, it's still an awesome story-in-a-pic
I think the reason Kitty's pose looks odd is her one hand off the pipes. It looks sorta unbalancing, like in her eagerness to scalp Kat she's going to tip forward and proceed to tumble with all the grace of a falling piano onto the floor. Once again though, great stuff =D

I think thats just another outfit for Kitty. She has a couple and thats probably where he was going on it. I think her positioning is ok though, she has the instincts of a cat so balancing wouldn't be a problem right?
Oh and I agree with the coloring and lighting in this one! But thats Gravers specialty!

And, Marty, ya that is one of the way more rare Kitty outfit's she's wearing, but after going though her outfits, it was my favorite (I'm a leg man ). However, the deciding point to chose that outfit over her more popular one or a slightly less used one of fishnets top and bottom was gravity.
With as well endowed as that Kitty is, I really didn't want to tackle the wacky foreshortening that would be involved with her chest and figured it wouldn't be the most flattering outfit for her in that position anyway (gravity can do some odd things )
And, yup, TA's right about the cat thing. They are both mutants with the reflexes and what not of a cat (and even the tail to help with the balancing)... however, the falling like a piano is still a possibility (I can't count the number of oh so graceful cats who've gotten a touch too curios or eager and took a terribly ungraceful tumble, popped right back up and began cleaning themselves like they meant to do that... I still pointed and laughed at them... silly cats ).
And again, you were right, TA, about ** being a touch too thin even though I was going for a lean gymnasts build (though I have a feeling you had a very specific spot on her that you felt wasn't quite fleshy enough). It's mostly due to a slight lacking of proper shadows and modeling on her form. I've gotten some more work done on it and I believe the thinness issue might be solved.

Oh, and, Mist... I forgot my password to DA and the email addy they have on file for me was a temp account that I also forgot the password for (I really hate spam)... I keep t6rying new passwords every morning, but no luck yet... I probably won't be able to log in until I get back home (stupid me for using different passwords for different site )
