its not my work. its someone else I commisioned to draw one of myt characters.My avatar is my work though. maybe I'll post some of my own stuff I posted a few of my artwork already here but they are lost to the forum monster that gobbles up threads lol

Ok I have a slightly off topic question ... I never took an art class and that is probably why I don't know this but, what is the blue everyone keeps doing their first drafts with and why?

Blue's the easiest color to get rid of Digitally.

This way they layout in Blue, Pencil it in with Pencil/graphite then Ink. Pretty time intensive but it helps alot.

But is that a specific pencil? because everyone that uses blue seems to have the exact same one. Is it sold as a layout pencil or something? ((moving on I don't want to hijack the thread))

To me Gideon the ledge has a Disney feel but I don't see it as much in the character. I do love the twisting of the torso and the angle of the left leg ... makes for a very fun pose. I get more of a "Nightmare before Christmas" feel for the toon itself.

Hrmm, not sure that there's a standardized pencil. I personally use Stanford Prismacolor "Bleu Inactinique" No idea what that means, but they're skyblue to prisma's to me.

There's blue lead fill I've seen too, usually coupled with a nice Drafting Pencil/Holder. Ya gotta look tho.

Different people use different things. I lm not sure but I think that is blue china marker.

Oooh, love the pose and expression in this, really nice. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

yea I can't wait to see it finished myself. I just sent her the payment yesterday so she will finish it when she recieves it.
