It's not bad <^.^> have any screenshots of the character in question so we get an idea what you're trying to match?
You have a great pose btw - much better than most people starting out imho.

Nice! And you can ALWAYS improve. 
What I think needs to be improved specifically is the head size, it looks a bit small.
It's a great start! I'd try working some on the definition to make it crisper, but it's a great first attempt.

Now I see some places with need of improvements.
Inspired by the many awesome works on this forum, i decided to try my own hand at it.
Unfortunately my art class has not covered human drawing, so it's pretty much all my own process.
It's Uber Blaster, my level 50 energy/energy blaster on Virtue. Just imagine a ball of energy in his hand.
