Howdy folks!

I've been a bit quiet here of late because I've been hard at work on my pulp-supernatural-thriller story "Sea of the Dead!". If you're interested in seeing how it progresses, take a peek!
Comments are always welcome!

I've been impressed with the story you are developing...it certainly looks good and seems interesting.

I'll admit that I wasn't huge fan years ago, but as I've read more and more, I have really come to enjoy pulp hero stories/comics. I was really impressed with some of Roy Thomas' All-star Squadron stuff when he focused on the more pulp heroes like Crimson Avenger and Sandman. Also, Howard Chaykin's take on the Shadow made me read up on him some years back. Plus, the idea of Lee Falk's Phantom was pretty cool.

I guess my point is that this is pretty neat, especially given that comics nowawdays are focused on such a different feel. Its nice to see someone working in this style again.

Anyhow, thumbs up and good luck.

This looks really awesome, Rogue. As always, lovin' your style, too.

Thanks guys!

I can't say that I'm "choosing" the style or subject matter with this project, it has kind of grown organically out of the compost that is my imagination.) I'm doing it just because...well...I have to. If anyone enjoys it along the way, so much the better! It's the same way with the style I work in. I remember once trying to develop a "style", but the older I get, the more I realize that it just comes about from reaching a certain maturity with your work. At some point, you just stop trying to copy from folks you really enjoy and do your own thing. I really dig Adam Hughes and Travis Charest, but...my work isn't much like either of them. (shrugs).
I've got to say that I'm having fun, though! I'll be working on Panel 3 of the "Sea of the Dead" today!

Can't say I know the names of some of the people mentioned but I find I'm drawn to this and similar styles I've seen some of the artists here doing. I like this. If you keep posting, I'll keep peeking.
