Comic-Style through Photoshop
That looks great. I really like it!
I'd be interested in the tuturial you used. Be fun to try it out. Maybe post a linky?
Good work!
EDIT: Oh, and welcome to the forums!
Here ya go!
Keep in mind, I've found that only large-scale images work well, and be sure to run the usual auto contrast/levels/etc to make the pictures as clear as possible. Have fun!
And thanks for the welcome!
Excellent! Can't wait to try it out tonight.
Thanks for the info, and again, good job!
That's pretty neat. I think you could make a nice looking comic with that effect.
Thats from Photoshop? that looks good man. im gonna have to see what kind of stuff i can do with photo program I have. I think its Microsoft Digital something or the other.
Thanks!
To show a bigger, less-artsy screenshot, here's my boyfriend Wavesmasher in his second costume. The scenery's a little speckled, but I kinda like how the tree and the building looks.
I think it looks great. A very nice job and I think your team mates will love what you do with it and their characters
Were always the good guys. In D&D, were lawful good. In City of Heroes were the heroes. In Grand Theft Auto we pay the prostitutes promptly and never hit them with a bat. Leonard
Those women are prostitutes? You said they were raising money for stem cell research! Sheldon
I'm mostly new to the boards, but I've been playing CoX for half a year now - and I've always wanted to turn whatever random roleplaying my tiny SG does into a comic. But first, I need a good art style. So I used a tutorial, worked out the kinks, and made my favorite screenshot into this:
Surrender, Comic-Style!
What's everyone think? Comic-y enough to become an actual comic once we get into a story? I'm sure it's been done before, of course. And if anyone has any suggestions on a better tutorial than the one I'm following, I'd be very grateful!
Thanks!
