I need BGs for a couple pictures
What are you using to edit the images? Maybe I could walk you through putting them in yourself, so you know how for next time :-)
The easiest way is to render the image with a transparent background. I usually use PNG as my file format for that , since it keeps the alpha layer and only renders the character.
Once you have her rendered and saved as a PNG, you can just copy/paste onto any image you like.
I use Paint Shop Pro 8. I'm able to make banners out of things with it but I'm not what you would call skilled. Couldn't get the hang of Photo shop at all and haven't even reinstalled it after I did a reinstall.
I've hand edited with Paint but a picture that size would be maddening.
Last time I asked I tried but it never worked for me and I got pretty frustrated even trying to copy the image to a clip board.

I know PSP 8 has layers, and I am pretty possitive it has a move tool (In photoshop you hit V for it.. no idea on psp)
here's your files in png with the white background removed and replaced with transparency
Full
Half
(I know it may look white still, trust me, its transparent, you're seeing your browser's default background)
very simple to do, load them into PSP, copy the background layer, delete the original layer (so its not 'locked' as a background, there's half a dozen ways to do it, thats the fastest for me) use the magic wand tool and select the white background, and cntrl-x. instant transparency. took about 30 seconds. 28 of which was loading photoshop heh.
to paste these into a new image. just load them, select the whole image, then hit cntrl-c. open up your background image and make a new layer and hit cntrl-v. Then use the Move Tool to position your figure how you like. Should take more than a couple minutes, certainly not pixel editing.
good luck, post the final for us :-)
OK, I couldn't resist.
I apologize for the smuggy building. this was just a quick 'for fun' edit. its very sloppy, and just 'because I could'

15 minutes, google and photoshop. I need something to do...

I do the same thing, except that I use .tgas. Cause Im a Targa snob!
Just keep one thing in mind: jpegs are evil. Never render to jpg. Jpg is your last step for the version that you're going to post to teh intarweb. That's the only thing they're good for.
Im imagining that Poser/DAZ studio is like every 3d program that I've ever used, where if you render to TGA, it automatically makes an alpha channel that you can use to drop out the background.

Thank you Snowlily. The PNGs work very well.

I've had little to no luck putting these on a background. The only way I could is hand editing every pixel and that is a new level of tedious.
As for BGs looking for something cool kinda urban in nature but very flexable there.
