Comic Book Creator: the program

I was going over some old posts looking for details on requests for artwork and I came across a post by Static Thunder and TA about the program Comic Book Creator that I have used in the past to do my comics.

I as well have become frustrated with the publishing process of the program. And this is what bothers me. When you gett he finished product. The comic does not fill in the entire white area that ends up on your screen. You have to turn the CBC file into a jpeg and open it in Photoshop and crop it in there and that is another process altogether. And my process had sooo many steps to begin with drawing on paper then scanning then inking and piecing together in the CBC prgoram. Sigh.... Sooo I use the format for the already layed out comic page as reference on how to draw my own. I am slowly getting better at it and I have several comics as reference as well. Batman being my favorite. God I LOVE that cape of his. Anyway.....

I guess what I am saying is that it is a good program to start out. It does make some things easier. It is all up to the artist really. I personally am trying to do everything with CS2 to save time and stuff. I want to master Creative Suite! Well got to go. Just thought I would share my two cents.

Oh and here is a link to the website if you are interested in the program.

I can see why you might not want to use it.

I like CBC for making stories out of the screenshots I take in COx. My only wish is that it would allow me to create my own panel layouts to place picture into.

I tried the trial for about a day, but I seem to remember on the forums of their site, there was a download for doing just this thing... making your own panel layout that is...

We still have it. But it gives us such a hard time trying to layout things the way we want that I end up doing it in Publisher. I use it now for some ideas, but thats about it.
