Throwing my hat in the art ring...

Ok, all of you have inspired me to dust off my old pre-family sketchbook and pencils and start trying again.

This is my first attempt at one of my superheros, PirateRose. It's far from done (obviously she has no face). I've also restrained myself from shading I normally have had a habit of doing and tried to stick to lines like a comic book style. So here's....

All critiques welcomed, that's why I posted them!

I think the pirate's shoulders might be too wide...

and depending on how you want her to look, you could taper into her waist a little more.. remember, curves make stuff look more interesting...

I'll be interested to see how it turns out!
