Sorry didn't get this to you sooner... had to take care of real life issues. 
This is Gatecrasher . He's the head of Unstoppable Nation on Pinnacle, and has several alts spread across the servers. He's an Inv/SS tank, and the best damn tank I have ever teamed with. A great player and a fun guy, as Gatecrasher he's the uber-tank. 
Back when you could herd, he was running the Eden trial.. got to the section just before the first wall - the huge room with the bridges and bad guys all over the place. One of his teammates turned and said' "Hey Gate, think you can herd this room?" He says "...uhhhh.. ok...."
... and proceeds to herd probably well more than a hundred DE into one of the small pockets that made them all bunch up...

Hmmmm, so I get the impression that some people don't like this idea 
Honestly, I knew it was subjective when I started it. I knew I wouldn't be able to fit every character on it and I knew it'd dissapoint someone. That being said, I also knew some people would like it and that some people would think it's cool and appreciate it.
Meh, you can't please all of the people all of the time.
There is still a couple more I'd like to add... so at least then maybe they'll be a couple more people pleased.

Actually, you did exactly what I was hoping for. You posted a pic of someone who you felt was famous. Shoot, from the looks of this I should be adding another 30 or so people.
I'm not going to do that though. Like some already said, this is my piece (grabs tablet and coo's "precious") and I'll have to figure who and where I can put heroes in. Honestly, I am running out of room and it'l only be a few more (hopefully flying peeps).
(just a quick note: as for this being just for the art and my "friends", many of these people I have never seen in game nor even chatted with on the forums. Almost all of them though have had art work done for them in the past, andthus what brought them to my attention)

Rowr and TA is obvious, everyone draw those for some reason, not only by comissions either
Ascendant is known, even NPC's mention him by the trams.
Xanatos has been in the comic a few times
Poison is just awesome.
Bayani is another art hunter
i can't see Feral Kat in there though, she's as big a arthunter as others in that drawing.
Mardun, i see the name around alot, so he's known in a way

Anyone can draw <>.<> if you try. But people have this disposition to view artists as "something set apart" somehow <,<

If I had the money to buy a comission with multiple players characters, I would go like this:
1. Poison, because I just love this costume, like Statesman, to me, Poison is one of the first characters I remember when I joined CoH beta.
2. Xanatos, just because we have seen him about everywhere in the early days, maybe the first art hunter.
3. Rowr, sexy, nice character, everyone loves her.
4. Plasmastream, I remember her the first time I saw her, hanging around in Galaxy Park.
5. Lightspeed, so cute, enuff said (especially in that two pages comics DarkJedi made of her)
6. If I had to stop at 6, I would add, obviously one of mine, prolly Jake of Hearts (my first main, still level 34) or Spinomania.
If I raised the limit, I would add in no particuliar order the ones I've seen the most here and became famous by "excessive" advertising:

Feral Kat
Roxstar
Clobber Girl
Earthguard, if someone remember him
And there was also Captain Zoom, Iceryder and Canadian Dragon I've seen during beta, they were great.
That's it on top of my head.
But most important, Juggy, Do what you want, it's your art, you don't want to be pushed around by everybody out there. Anyways, some will feel left out.
