If you want video for it without too much of a hassle try Fraps and use the in game toggle in options/keymapping that allows you to disable the UI of the game and take clear shots.
If you wanna use Demo's check out Zloths Guide. I don't understand a bit of it but maybe you will.
For editing I like Acoustica Mixcraft for sound and Windows Movie maker works fine for the editing provided you have a decent amount of ram and you remember to save often.

Majik's Guide is good for this. Though I've only used it a tad, Windows Media Encoder is looking pretty good for a FRAPS alternative.
I have a friend who is creating some theme music for our VG and i would like to put together a video showing the VG in action set to the music. problim is i have no idea how to do this or where to start. and help would be greatful.
the song is not finished yet but would like to figure out this video part so when it is i can have it all together as soon as it is.
anouther idea of mine was to make a flash using this music and clips of VG members for the site as well.
