The Superdudes Slip into Paragon City! (Story)

The Superdudes are a Supergroup on Server Virtue. All of the members come from the Superdudes Website located in my signature. Just a quick back story.

Part 1

Both Keeper of the Sorrows and Killowatt hide behind a truck lying on its side on a vacant street, panting quietly as up above, the hovering Captain Amazing, in his green and yellow spandex splendor, hurls bolts of energy at their attacker. Another bolt of energy fires back at Captain Amazing, which he dodges as fast as he can.

"Cappy! Be careful! Katrano learns from your attacks!" yells Killowatt.

"Oh really!?!?! Thanks! I am glad you are the scientist and I am not!" sarcastically yells back Captain Amazing.

Killowatt presses his lips sarcastically in response to the remark Captain Amazing made as the truck he leans on shifts suddenly. He looks to where Keeper of the Sorrows was to find out what happened and he isn't there.

The truck suddenly hovers upward and out at Katrano, as if thrown like a stone in a catapult. Katrano immediately braces for the impact as Keeper yells, "Need a ride?" Katrano catches the truck with his right hand and tosses it aside like tissue paper making Keeper of the Sorrows, again, hide behind another car. Unlike other heroes, his more elderly body is not as resistant to attacks as most.

"You can't do better than that pops?!" barks Katrano as he super speeds down the street towards Captain Amazing with a sudden howl of excitement. The tattoos all over Katrano's body glow radiantly as he scoops up a piece of asphalt with his hand as if it was clay out of the ground and shoves the chunk into Captain Amazing's face before he had the time to react, sending the Captain flying through the air. Then a post office mail box slams into Katrano's back, knocking him down to the feet of Killowatt.

"Good job, Keeper!" yells Killowatt as a bolt of lightning from the sky strikes Katrano. Katrano cringes in pain, but then chuckles as another bolt of lightning comes down, striking Killowatt. Katrano then thrusts out his hand, grabbing a full hold of Killowatt's ankle, and slings him at Keeper of the Sorrows, who dives out of the way as Killowatt smashes through a display case in a store, both beat up and bloody but slow regenerating.

Katrano gets up, brushing the dust of his pants and looks up at Keeper of the Sorrows with an evil grin on his face. Before Katrano could do anything however, Keeper of the Sorrows shadow melds with the shadow of a lamp post and reappears next to the broken body Captain Amazing. He then places his hands over the Captain's chest in order to rejuvenate his body as he calls Superdudes Headquarters for reinforcements, which little known to him, has already arrived.

Katrano chuckles at the sight of four more Superdudes in front of him. "What are you guys gonna do, huh?" he laughs. "Amuse me?"

Vhailor, a fighter for justice, looks back over his shoulder to see Captain Amazing on his back with Keeper of the Sorrows at his side. Vhailor then unsheathes his giant axe. "YOUR CRIMES WILL FACE JUSTICE!" booms the echoing voice of Vhailor as another hero, Lurker, unsheathes his sword motions Katrano to start the fight. The other two heroes, Destiny Blinks and Paradigm stand aside as Katrano rushes in straight at Lurker but then suddenly stops. Katrano looks around in confusion.

"Can't hold him for too long, even with the help from Choir!" yells Paradigm.

"I know! Already on it!" yells Destiny Blinks as he surrounds Katrano in a time dialation field. Lurker shrugs as Vhailor sticks his axes into the ground eyeing Katrano. Captain Amazing hovers back over, carrying Keeper of the Sorrows as Killowatt climbs out of the store window.

"We cannot hold him in there forever. He'll learn from Destiny Blinks soon," pants Killowatt.

"Can we throw him around or something! Pleeeeeeeeeease!" begs Captain Amazing.

The rumbling sound echoes through the street as Paradigm looks up to find a ship high above with the search light shining straight down on the group. "Oh Captain! Remember me!" yells a voice over a microphone from the ship.

"Who is that?" asks Destiny Blinks.

Captain Amazing looks up and then looks at Katrano, who is starting to slowly move out of the time dialation field. "That is Seargeant Nasty. We could take him, but Katrano is starting to get back out of Des's field. I think a tactical retreat is in order... though that ship is shiny and in need of a good breaking," says Captain Amazing as he continues to look upward.

Killowatt looks down at his watch and madly presses a few buttons, opening a portal back to Superdudes Headquarters. "Okay. Everyone. Let's go," announces Killowatt. "I will be last. It will close on me."

The other Superdudes begin to run through as Katrano finally breaks out of the field in a fit of rage, blasting a time displacement field on the portal right after Killowatt jumps through.

The search light shines on Katrano. "Did it work?" yells Nasty.

"We are not going to see them in a long time," smirks Katrano.

The Superdudes walk out the other side of the portal, appearing in a cave, or at least, a room with cave walls. The portal encircled by stone, with flashing auras and mysterious symbols.

"Killo... where the heck are we?" Paradigm says as it is echoed down the stone torch lit hallway.

"An Indiana Jones movie set?" guesses Destiny Blinks as Lurker picks up a dusty book off of an old wooden bookshelf.

"Can't read this," states Lurker as he puts the book back.

"Um..." Killowatt says nervously as he looks down the hallway. "We are definately not at Superdudes Headquarters. I can tell you that."

"Killo. Make sure your dimensional-tech-thing-a-ma-jig stuff works before you use it!" yells Captain Amazing in anger, which again, echoes down the hall.

Keeper of the Sorrows puts his finger over his mouth to tell the rest to be quiet. "I hear footsteps. Someone else is here. Maybe they can help us."

Vhailor shakes his head and surprises the group when he speaks in a normal tone, "I sense the taint of Decay here."

A man with a tall green and red cap with flowing robes and glowing eyes walks into the room, and in seeing the seven heroes, turns around and runs back down the hall.

Paradigm closes his eyes to listen to Choir, an entity of Knowledge within him.

"Okay. I'm getting out of this room. I don't like small spaces," says Captain Amazing as he flies down the hall. Moments later he screams, "Help!"

The Superdudes run down the stone hallway to find Captain Amazing fending off what looked like seven or eight minotaur like creatures, which are causing the room to blaze in an inferno as more robed men throw balls of fire and ghost like creatures hurl clouds of icy steam and chunks of ice. What seemed to be the leader of the group yells, "The Circle of Thorns are no one to be trifled with! You pathetic defenders of Paragon City have paused our chantings and spells long enough!" and with that stomps his foot, making the ground beneath the Superdudes twist and turn like an earthquake.

Part 2

The ground shakes profusely as Lurker, Vhailor, Killowatt, and Destiny Blinks fall over. Keeper of the Sorrows tries to maintain his balance before Captain Amazing swoops down and swipes Keeper of the Sorrows up, placing him onto a pedestal.

“Please… don’t let it go to your head, Keeps,” says Captain Amazing.

Keeper smirks as he looks up to see Paradigm and Arachnia, already in her alternate form with wings flapping, flying high to avoid the ground shaking below. Keeper immediately raises his hands, and rocks dislodge from the ceiling and begin to rain upon the cultists below as Arachnia flies down, slashing with her three pronged weapon the robed mages, then landing on her feet, tossing the weapon between her left and right hands.

The lead mage laughs and snaps his fingers. To his call, more mages and spirits pour into the room. Vhailor and Lurker run straight to the first entrance into the room, with broadsword and axe unsheathed, to fend off the reinforcements as Killowatt and Destiny Blinks tackle the spirits and minotaur-like creatures in the room. Paradigm floats down and places a bubble around the other entrance to maintain other reinforcements into the room.

Captain Amazing swoops downward again like a hawk, blasting bolts of plasma at the mages below before scooping up a mage and hurling him towards Arachnia, who swings her weapon like a bat at the mage, sending him flying into a pool of water nearby.

Vhailor, using his sense of justice, hears the screams of innocent people down a corridor. After hearing this great injustice, Vhailor becomes faster and stronger than ever before. Even Lurker, who is knocking the balls of brimstone and fire flying at him, backs away from Vhailor. Lurker, eyes Vhailor, then jumps back into the fray, swinging the sword back and forth before a ball of fire hits him in the back. Lurker stops, turns around and eyes the mage. After the mage realizes that the fire does not hurt Lurker, he turns around and runs away. In the distance, everyone hears, “Hyper Particle Blast!” and then seconds later, “FIRE!” The plasma nails the mage, flinging him into a column, knocking the mage unconscious. Lurker turns around to see Captain Amazing flying upward towards the ceiling laughing.

Keeper of the Sorrows telekinetically grabs a pillar of stone and hurls it at the lead mage, which knocks the mage down onto his back as Destiny Blinks keeps “blinking” in and out of time, attacking the spirits with age defying portals. Killowatt reaches into his pocket and pulls out a handful of marbles. He throws them at the minotaur-like creatures, causing an explosive impact upon them. Upon seeing the explosions, the minotaurs immediately turn their attention to Killowatt as Destiny Blinks continues to “blink” around, attacking the minotaurs from behind. Meanwhile, Killowatt slips on his gloves lined with gold to help harness the electrical energies flowing through his own body.

Paradigm, still standing at the bubble, turns the bubble on and off, fooling around with the mages before he unleashes the bubble, forcing the mages backward down the hall.

The battle rages on and on, until the room grows quite as the mages mysteriously teleport out.

“Where did they go?” asks Arachnia as she turns back into her human form. Captain Amazing floats down to the ground, carrying Keeper of the Sorrows from the pedestal. Vhailor and Lurker look around blankly wondering where everyone has gone. Paradigm turns off the bubble and walks down the corridor, wondering if there were anymore mages around the corner. He finds nothing.

Destiny Blinks looks around and finds a small medallion, which he gives to Killowatt to analyze. Killowatt just looks at it, and replies, “It’s shiny. That’s all I know.”

“I could have told you that,” stammers Keeper of the Sorrows.

More screams are heard down another corridor as Vhailor’s head ***** up. “There are people here that need help.”

“No job is too great for Captain Amazing!” yells the Captain as he flies out of the room and down towards the next room, with the rest of the group following.
