...and look at all the killer art done of peoples characters. I'm interested in maybe getting something like that done. Is it appropriate to come in here and just ask for someones help with that? Guess I just did that, either way, just wondering. I'm artsy with music (drummer, percussionist and vocalist) and nothing else, but would love to see my main now at 48 and around since 2004 immortalized by one of the great talents I see in this forum all the time. Any help, consideration or comments appreciated

Depends on what you're looking for. Some of the artists do work for free, while others charge for their time. Everyone has their own particular set of guideline and I don't think anyone is offended when they're asked to work on something.

Usually, once you find an artist you like, sending them a PM is the first step.

Or you could post a "Hey draw me please!" thread. Those meet with varying degrees of success.
