Heh heh, no worries Misty. I'm plugging away at it as well as some other stuff. ^_^ Mostly taking some time away from CoH though this past week. I've been spending far too much time the last few months on the game and needed a break to refill the emotional and mental batteries. =~_o= Glad to hear you got your account troubles sorted out. ^_^b

Bleh and double bleh. There's nothing specific thats happened or going on or anything; but I'm in kind of a funk. Only reason I'm posting is because I don't want people thinking I just up and vanished. I posted some contact info in my sig in case anyone has a reason to get a hold of me. I'll probably still be here on the boards to a degree; but I've not felt like myself, which has kept my posting to a minimum; that, and my art has been... poor lately.

Like I said, bleh. I'll snap out of it, and hopefully before too long there'll be pictures again. Till then, eh, who knows?

Thanks Crestent! <T_T> Believe it or not, that one took many hours of work to do. THe main problems are that its just too flat <_ _> But overall I think its a step in the right direction; and some more work on my part could make this into a very important step in my development! Appreciate the complement!

This has kinda turned into my blog I guess <x.x>;

So in this post: I vent.

What the hell is wrong with people?

No seriously, I know some of us find the 'other' forums discomforting at best; and generally avoid them... but USUALLY I manage to do OK with the rest of them. I know its probably better for my blood pressure if I DON'T go out to General or the Comic section; but there are some very cool people out there that I do like...

But today, and the last week, have been so full of morons I just want to freaking BREAK SOMETHING.

Not naming names; but WTF!

Worse still - most of the arguments have been because Person A) decided to be a complete JACKASS; and was called out on it by... well... everyone.

Then Person B decides that people are taking things 'too seriously' - because apparently NOTHING on the internet can be serious! I mean; its not like there are PEOPLE on the freaking internet ya know? People who might have feelings; and don't feel like being insulted or abused by others? Yah, THOSE people?; so Person B decides to try to defend person A.

WTF kind of stupidity is that?

Its dumb enough to have one guy pull a complete boneheaded move and get ridiculed for it; but then having someone defend it is just... beyond the pale.

And then there's the stupid religion/politics threads cropping up all the time in the comic section... I wouldn't have a problem with that, but not one single one has gone without SOMEONE exploding into some whacked out rant.

WTF can't people just discuss their opinions in a CIVILIZED manner?

GAHHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I seriously want to take the forums and break them over my knee right now.

But thankfully I have the art section <x.x>; where people are friendly and not douchebags.

Sorry for this rant; but I'm just so pissed off right now <x.x> had to get that off my fuzzy chest.

I am going to break someone's face off. I swear this is getting stupid.

Ok, remember some months ago where I was having problems on other forums due to some fan fic I wrote?

Now I'm getting [censored] ed out on another forum for a piece of art. The piece in question? The one posted in these very forums as "A new personal best!" The one so many wonderful people here were so supportive of.

I posted it to the official Privateer Press forums the same day as here; and at the time got some truly fantastic responses there as well.

Needless to say, I was kinda on Cloud 9; I mean, wth, people LIKE my art work? >.<

Then today I wake up, and check the thread again... and 4 jerkfaces are rampaging around my thread, going as far as to alter my artwork and making fun of me.

This pisses me off.

And now I'm finding myself 'stalked' on that forum by the same yahoos, they're apparently going into all of my threads just to make fun of me. WTF is people's problems?

I swear if it wasn't over the freaking internet, there would be punches thrown at this point. I was stepped on all throughout gradeschool and highschool, I'm 24 years old now; an adult; and I'll be damned if I let jackasses walk over me anymore.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I was gonna say, that sounds like 4chan-ish behavior, to me.

Another artist had several people stalk him on HF, dissing his threads and reposting his art (vandalized in some cases) to 4chan.

I'd report the lot of them to the Privateer Press moderators, and have the vandalized art pulled and threads locked.

And yes... the behavior of some netizens makes you want to be able to jump into the computer, hunt them down, and take a high-powered cattle prod to their virtual reproductive parts.

Yeah, the mods just got rid of the junk in my thread <x.x>; still, what a bummer. Now I have to worry about getting the same kind of retarded reaction everywhere I post my stuff.

I don't see why people can't understand that A) I know full well I'm not a great artist; when have I ever claimed to be? B) I realize I'm 'breaking the rules' of the universes I work in, that's part of MY fun; why can't I have my fun and they just ignore me? I mean, do I come after them telling them they should do stuff more 'out there'? Of course not.

I'm just a fan who wants to have a good time; that's all. <-.->;

google the filename you used to post the artwork. See if it shows up anywhere else... that might give you an idea of who's behind it.



Or, on second thought, don't. Just remain ignorant. Googling to track down net-brats leads to madness.

Yeah, I'd considered it <x.x> But I don't want to deal with it, and I don't want to see what people might do with my pics. I've got enough trouble to deal with without being harassed by webkiddy morons <_ _> Honestly, if I hadn't had to deal with this every single [censored] day of school from 1st grade all the way through the end of highschool, I would probably be able to laugh this off. But there's a g'damn reason I'm in counseling now, and that's a big chunk of it. So this just pisses me off far more than it rightly should.

(Thanks for talking with me about this btw man <~.~>; it helps having a safe place to come when stupid crap comes up like this)

I hope the counseling helps. I was one of the unlucky few who didn't get any benefit from it (maybe because I had bad luck with the counselors I ended up with - I'm done with speaking with people who just want to run me through the same one size fits all program they run everyone else through). It really helps having someone to communicate this kind of stuff with to help you deal with all of the various issues you have. Having to deal with everything yourself while the problems keep piling up is not recommended.

At the very least I can understand where your coming from with all of this. Hopefully you can focus on all of the good feedback you've been given and ignore these jerks. It's not always easy, and if it gets to you again than you've always got here to come back to. Good luck on your next art project. Have as much fun with it as you can. Believe in yourself.

I refuse to back down or quit. I have every right to be there; and I will not back down. No retreat, no surrender!
