A little help with Character Pics

Just wanted a little insight on character pics/screenshots.

-What would be the best way to take ingame pics/any pics of my Co* characters? Just use the [Print Screen] button?

-What settings should be used for the best pics?

-Where is the best place to take screenshots(character creation screen, character select screen, ingame, what zone, etc.)?

And last yet the most important question:

-What is the better site to host the pics? Should I just create my own site or are there some really organized sites out there that would be better/less strenuous?

I ask because I've never tried it before cause I was too lazy but now I have lots of free time so I can put the right effort into it. I want to use the pics to help describe the characters I use in the RPs on this board. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not so great at in-game photography, but a great site to host the pics is at www.photobucket.com . :P

Best pics I have taken is during in-game by simply pressing print screen. I don't do anything complicated at all.

Yeah, I'm familiar with Imageshack and Photobucket. I was thinking about fansites that are also good with hosting images and stuff.

Also, I know there are applications that record stuff on your screen or take pics, just wanted to know if those get you better quality over just [print screen].

...I'm probably gonna have to get a better graphics card for better quality though .

Third party apps are good to edit the screen shots. In most cases you will want to crop the pictures.

In game, AP and SC have good lighting (during the day of coarse) some zones the lighting is a little different especially dark astoria

Also the Icon screen is very neutral lighting to take screen shots, but will definately need to crop the image afterwards.

The image size of your screen shot will depend on your ingame graphics settings too. I dont think any third party software will get you a better capture that a basic screen print but gives you, but the 3rd party apps give you more options to edit, crop, select areas, ease of use etc.


If you are just taking screen shots, you can up your graphic levels to unplayable levels for the shots, if you are just doing poses if you want action shots then that wont work as well.
