The two six (RP)
((This thread is back baby!))
Okay, its not just my head, Newton said, stumbling down the stairs. Everyone out! I thought we were on pretty solid bedrock, but somethings pretty nasty here! He looked to where Sting was. Grab the chickadee and get her out of here!
"NO," Aidan screamed at Sting, "Touch her now and this entire building will go down. You know how they say not to try and wake a sleepwalker... same thing here. Just get upstairs."
Aidan grabbed ahold of Smurd and began to escort him up the near-shattered stairway, "Here, get some air. We can finish this later... don't come back down here. Everything will be fine. I promise. She just needs not to feel threatened anymore. Seeing you all wont help that."
Aidan started to close the door behind him as he went back into the basement... ((open to whatever here. if no response, then consider him closing it))
**During the Smurd escort**
Nadia's body began to drip dirt from and the tremor from the quake came more violently. Outside the building, passers-by could feel the shaking that seemed to be coming from inside the building. It caused panic in some as they ran away. Others sought shelter while a couple others called their local law enforcement.
As Nadia continued to exert her power, her legs fused even more with the earth and took a dark brown tone. Her entire being was becomming one with the earth. It was something that Aidan had only seen once in a simulation. It was the type of thing that took years and years of of training and she had done it that day because of her anger from finding out her boyfriend had cheated on her. Sting was beginning to find it very difficult to stand in one place.
**After the Smurd escort
"Hey, ya gotta evacuate. Come on," Aidan was having trouble making his way to the last two in the room ((assuming Smurd went willingly)). His body gathered the forces of the earth's surface and grew in mass and bulk. His skin morphed into a granite-like armor that weighed him donw almost a ton. The extra size allowed him to regain control of his footing and slowly make his way to his sister and Sting.
"Grab my hand, quick," Aidna extended a helping hand to Sting. he hoped that he was close. It was harder than ever to see with the thickness of the volcanic gasses.
((Nadia - earth controller (duh). Her powers are mainly fueled by her emotions... and the earth. However, she has had minimal training in her abilites and does not even know how to do what she is doing right now aka "going all Jean 'the Phoneix' Grey". The process is something I'll be explaining later. She's not a 50, but in her 30's.
Aidan - tanker, powered by the sun, earth, and other family members, depending on who it is. Right now, there is only his sister. His strength is increased when he fights near her. Away from her, he is still formidable. At night, he is considerably weaker.
Both have an incredible teamwork ethic and have a mental link to each other's minds. Aidan is the logical, but overly protective brother. When they were born, he stuck his head out to make sure it was cool before letting his sister out first...its that serious. Doctors were stunned. There was a documentary about it. Nadia is emotional and inexperienced at heart. She allows every feeling to consume her versus thinking out an issuefor the better of people and the situation... she's learning.
They're 16.))
One whiff of the noxious gasses caused Sting to start choking. He held his breath and heard shouts and commands of all sorts. A little disoriented from the gas, the instructions didnt really register. He just knew there was a source of danger and instinct was starting to take over.
Normally lack of vision wouldnt bother Sting his motion sensitive antennae would tell him where thing were. But in the mess of crumbling foundation and spurting gasses even that didnt help much. But he could make out the stairs and a bit of rational thought allowed him to realize that a tactical retreat might be in order.
A single leap took him back to the stairs and he scrambled up, through the door, and over something big and soft (Newton). He stopped to cough the last of the gas out of his lungs as he tried to decide if the entire building was going to come down.
So much for being a nice guy and holding back
He muttered, waiting to see if either the earthquake subsided or the cause came out of the basement.
"Shut up Mr. Burton, you are not brought upon this world to get it!" - Lo Pan
@MadGremlin
Oh, this is just nuts, Newton said, picking himself up from the ground. Sting had just used him as a ladder, or a trampoline or something.
He sent out a friendly singularity to find the crazy catatonic controller girl. Rocky, he called out to the stone-covered boy, I have a lock on her. I can wormhole her out of there! If she loses direct contact with the earth, will the earth calm down?
((Ugh, had an extensive post that ended all this, but i "X"'d the wrong page out.. and lost it... lost the time to do another. I'll redo after I get up. Only a few hours before work. Takin a small nap. Not tryna leave ya hangin...))
((Well this post was aggravatiing... and its SECOND TIME doing it...for the love of the 2-6 ))
He sent out a friendly singularity to find the crazy catatonic controller girl. Rocky, he called out to the stone-covered boy, I have a lock on her. I can wormhole her out of there! If she loses direct contact with the earth, will the earth calm down?
"No! If she loses contact, then this whole building could fall. Right now she's the only thing standing between us and...this building collapsing," Aidan replied back to the green-haired hero, "Remember the thing about the sleepwalking."
Aidan trudged back up the stairs and to the basement door. He stopped just a few steps short of the top, "Look, I can handle it. Promise. If I'm not back in 2 min, get out of the building," Aidan finished and closed the door.
The young and rock-solid boy went back to his sister. The earth had completely covered her all the way up to her waist. This was worse than the first time. Aidan made an attempt to get close to his sister, but in response, a stalagmite shot up in front of him and nearly pricked his face. The gasses were immense, but his rock armor allowed enough density in his skin that he wouldn't feel the heat of it or inhale too much at one time.
The basement walls began to reverberate and the floors shook underneath both of them. Tables, chairs, and other objects were repositioned, but not much had really fallen over. In the distance, the faint sound of sirens could be heard. Aidan knew he had to move fast.
Nadia, you have to stop.
No, you're helping them.
No, I'm not. They're just not out to get us.
How do you know...
Because they...
DON'T LIE TO ME AIDAN, the entire building shook for moments as she screamed through the link that Nadia and her brother had.
Nadia, listen to me. Please.
No, I don't want to. Not anymore. You don't get it. I can't go back there Aid. I can't, tears began to stream down Nadia's dirt covered face.
Nadia... what would mom and day say right now if they saw you doing this? Remember what happened the first time?
Nadia's teary and angry-eyed face became almost grief-stricken, Mom... and dad...
Yea... mom and dad. Think about them for a second, Aidan said, and inched himself closer to his twin.
The control she had over her surroundings began to subside as her mind filled with memories of her parents. The shaking decreased and the walls stopped moving. Her legs were becoming visible and the volcanic gas was dissipating by the second.
I love them so much Aidan, her tears were really beginning to flow down her cheeks, I miss them... so... much.
I do too,he said and closed enough distance to grab Nadia's hand. Her white eyes had returned to their normal state with pupils and retinas and brown. Nadia clenched her brother's hand tightly, Hey remember what they use to say to us all the time?
Nadia though for a moment and smiled back, Think before you speak. Look before you leap. Pray before you sleep...
But after you brush your teeth, both children laughed as they spoke in unison.
Come on Nadi. Lets go up. I won't let em hurt ya. And if they try anything... well, after what just happened, you really think they'll wanna make you mad? Come on, lets see what they're about. What did dad used to say - 'Aidan, you must first assess the threat,' Aidan mocked the best he could of his father.
Nadia laughed, Not quite him, but it'll do. Alright, she sighed, let's go up.
Thats my girl.
Her control had stopped. There was fallen debris all over the floor and tables, but with the exception of a few heavy stones thrown about and some damage to the walls, there didn't seem to be much to complain about.
The basement door slowly opened and Aidan poked his head out, "Ok, we learn your story, you learn ours. Then we decide if what happened down there, needs to continue. deal?"
Nadia continued to hold on to her brother's hand tightly.
Newton was nervously watching the walls. Man, its too bad all our science types are gone. We really need to have someone double check the architecture. I personally dont want the building to come crashing down on my head in the middle of the night. Enough things have hit me on the head recently.

Newton glanced over at the other two. Sounds reasonable, he said. Lets head to the conference room. He said, motioning towards one of the rooms off of the main entryway. Would you like something to eat. Id offer you some cold pizza, but for some reason, it has disappeared. His green eyes twinkled mischievously.

Wait a freaking second! These two attack us in our own house, almost bringing the place down, and we are going to invite them for tea?!? How about we beat them senseless and then interrogate them?
Sting saw the look of exasperation on Newtons face. Oh %&#$! Ok fine, well play nice with them. But one false move and someone gets perforated. Sting grumped as he marched into the conference room and sat down in the corner, arms crossed.

Newton looked at Sting, trying to get him to shut up. It was obvious to him that these two were super-powered runaways, looking for a place to crash. Threatening them or anything else get them running again. Newton understood, better than the kids or Sting could know.

Dont mind Sting, Newton said calmly. He threatens to beat up everyone who comes into the Two Six. He raised his eyebrows at the two youngsters. You are aware that you decided to crash in an old police station, arent you?
He raised his hands. Dont worry, were not cops or anything like that. I mean, look at us. Green haired fat man, dude with sword, and anti-social bug man. We arent the cops. Just a group of misfits that the court system didnt know what to do with.
"Dude with sword is still confused as to where Mystic and the Golum went and why we were attacked. I don't mind saying, if that portal that Mystic rigged up is down, we've just left our friend in the rogue islands someplace with no friends but a single golum of unknown origin." Smurd put his sword away. "So if you don't mind, before we get this negotiation underway, I'm going BACK down into the basement to check the portal. If you want to get in my way this time, I'm going to be very angry."
As he finished, he activated his defensive spells, rendering him almost entirely immune to the earth magic's effects and protecting him from gasses. He was certain that if the young rock wielder were more experienced, he'd be trouble, but Smurd had been around the block and had picked up a number of tricks. He was fair certain he could do him serious harm should it come to that. He was also hoping it wouldn't come to that, lest he risk further damage to the structure.
Smurd strode toward the basement.
"Actually," Aidan began, "We uhh-"
Wait a freaking second! These two attack us in our own house, almost bringing the place down, and we are going to invite them for tea?!? How about we beat them senseless and then interrogate them?
Behind Aidan, Nadia stomped up the stairs with fury. Aidan stopped her with a stone hand and held up a finger that told her to wait.
Sting saw the look of exasperation on Newtons face. Oh %&#$! Ok fine, well play nice with them. But one false move and someone gets perforated. Sting grumped as he marched into the conference room and sat down in the corner, arms crossed.
"One word. One more word," Nadia mumbled, "I'll either bury him or practice melee with his ugly mug..."
Aidan turned around harshly, "Nadia, cool it."
Dont mind Sting, Newton said calmly. He threatens to beat up everyone who comes into the Two Six. He raised his eyebrows at the two youngsters. You are aware that you decided to crash in an old police station, arent you?
"Well considering it has the look and feel of an old police station," Nadia said matter-of-factly as she pushed passed her brother with an eye out for Sting, "Yea, we had a clue," her attitude was shifty. Aidan liked it better when she played the scared twin who came out two minutes after he did at birth.
He raised his hands. Dont worry, were not cops or anything like that. I mean, look at us. Green haired fat man, dude with sword, and anti-social bug man. We arent the cops. Just a group of misfits that the court system didnt know what to do with.
"Its not the cops we're worried about," Aidan said with a little worry in his voice. He saw a trusting nature in the controller's eyes, but it wasn't something that Aidan was going to fall for... just yet.
"Yea, cops don't really care for our kind. They leave us to," Nadia opened the refrigerator and bent down inside and came back up quickly with a Mountain Dew, "other enforcements. Mind," she asked without waiting for an answer and opened the can.
Aidan looked at his sister and shook his head. She looked back at him with an "I'm innocent" shrug.
"Dude with sword is still confused as to where Mystic and the Golum went and why we were attacked. I don't mind saying, if that portal that Mystic rigged up is down, we've just left our friend in the rogue islands someplace with no friends but a single golum of unknown origin." ((We aint magic representas... 0o0o0 take that take that...))
"And we care about your friend because why," Nadia asked before she took another sip of soda.
"Nadia."
"What," she placed the can on the counter and spoke loud enough for Sting to hear, "All I'm saying is we're bending to the rules of Mr. Chubbs, Hott Head, and Cocky over there and as far as I'm concerned I could have just let them all die under this building while we merrily escaped."
"Nadia stop it," Aidan's eyes narrowed at his sister as his voice firmed.
"WHatever Aidan. You can be friends with this misfit justice league. But I don't have to listen. I'm done listening. You're too nice Aidan. And its time Twin sis called the shots," Nadia started to walk toward the front doors.
Aidan reached a hand to stop her, but she produced a stalagmite that came just short of his forearm. Aidan pulled back quickly and looked confusedly at his sister.
"And oh yea, your little rock statue left through the front door last night. Guess he didn't like you either," she finished with a turned back as she exited the building.
"What the heck has gotten into that girl? Umm, never seen her like this. It's like a new side of her. I mean, her attitude's shifty, but not like this. And she has never attacked me before."
Aidan pride swelled inside him, "Thats cool though. She wants to be a big girl, I'll let her see what its like."
He turned to Newton, "In the meantime, how bout that portal," he asked as he looked at Smurd who may or may not have heard Nadia's comment about the Golem.
"Hope it doesn't come down to fisticuffs with that guy," he whispered to Newton as he thought of Smurd's role in the situation downstairs, "Don't know what I'd do," he finished with a sarcastic smile. Smurd didn't worry him. Truth was, none of them did. He had taken on heroes before and he would do it again. His traning was, even at sixteen had been extensive, in and out of the battlefield. His father, being an ex-Malta Gunslinger, taught him things that his father's troops weren't even aware of. No, Aidan wasn't worried. He never worried.
He was a little nice though. Maybe sometimes too nice.

Ah, the innocent confidence of youth, Newton said. Dont underestimate those around you. You never know what they may be able to do.
Newton walked over to Sting. Now, this isnt any sort of order. I know better than to order you. Id have all sorts of extra holes in me if I did that. Would you be willing to go with Rocky here downstairs and work on the portals. After my last experience with them, I really dont want to go into another one. He shuddered. I have a couple things I want to take care of up here. His green eyes flickered towards the outside door.

"Aidan, my name is Aidan," he said with a smile. The Rocky thing was starting to rile him up a bit.
"And what's this about a portal?"
Smurd rolled his eyes as the girl made threats. "I don't have time for this stupidity, I have other stupidity to attend to." With that he stepped into the basement and surveyed the damage. The girl did good work. There were cracks and chipped paint everywhere, though how much of it was there BEFORE her temper tantrum is anyone's guess.
The Portal spun in the middle of the room, one single glowing ball of light. Smurd drew his blade and stepped inside. He appeared in a cave with water dripping from the walls and one exit. Two sets of footprints were visible in the dirt, one professor sized, and one large rock creature sized.
"Well," said Smurd, "that's a start." And proceded down the passage.
((OOC: Av; Golem actually left for the isles the night before, by sea.))

I heard that!
Sting sat, listening to the exchange as the girl, who seemed to be named Nadia, insulted them, and her brother, Aidan, seemed to try to calm her down.
Sting, never one to let an insult go unanswered bit his lip
er, mandible, as Nadia mouthed off. As she stomped out Sting couldnt help but comment.
Yeah, you go little girl. Go and find some other angst-ridden teens to hang out with. I hear the Outcasts really love you elemental types. Yeah those boys would have a blast with a tender thing like you. And great plan to keep running from your problems, kid, thatll work! He said sarcastically.
Gotta love that they invade our house and attack us, and it is somehow our fault they have a tough life.
Sting finally stopped and faced Newton and Aidan. Um, what? Oh
yeah I almost sounded like I was giving a damn. My mistake.

He turned to face Aidan. You know someday someone serious like the Thorns or Crey may take an interest in you or your sister. Dodging police and Longbow, or going a few rounds with us is all fine and good but when somebody with real power gets their hooks on you life goes from rough to hellish. Sting sighed. Damn, now Im sounding like my dad.

Newton watched the two of them head downstairs. Newton tuned in on his singularity that he had sent after the girl. Sting was right; she was going to be a target for someone Circle, or maybe just the Skulls or Hellions looking for a piece of @$$, in which case theyd probably be dead. The girl was powerful.
But, then again, so was he. He was easy to underestimate. On purpose.
The other thing he hated to admit to himself. She and her brother had come into the Two Sixs area of Kings Row. That made them his
and Mystics and Stings
problem. He couldnt just let a walking earthquake loose in their area.
Besides, he thought as he packed several bag lunches, if anyone was going to wreck miscellaneous buildings, it was going to be him. He grinned wryly, thinking of the beauty shop he had helped destroy by accident.
Resolutely, he walked out of the door, started to hover, and pushed himself through a wormhole after the girl.
Newton floated about twenty feet off the ground, watching the girl stalk along. He reached into his bag, and pulled out one of his Mountain Dews. He focused in on it, and floated it down so it floated in her path.
As the young woman saw the floating can and jumped a little. He waited until she looked around wildly and found him floating above her. Thought you could use another one. I know I always can. Caffeine withdrawal is a b***h, isnt it.
Snakes? Those arent snakes, theyre too big. How did they get in here? Theyre huge. Mystic was lying flat on a rock as water poured down from just to his left into a pool some fifty feet below. There were giant snakes with arms patrolling an area of water, wary of each misstep Mystic might take to alert them of his presence. He watched, at first in awe, but then calculating the weaknesses and mistakes made by the patrol.
His cloak was blue, and blue on the outside with red trim. If he were quiet, he might be able to sneak in to the water through the waterfall and float by on his back. If they saw him, though, it would be a worthless ploy. He could try flying over them, perhaps they wouldnt look up just at that moment. The mage was beginning to realize what it meant to not be built for stealth.
Rough hands grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him away from the ledge. He was lying too close to the water to hear them approach. Three snakemen were suddenly around him, and he could smell that aroma that you find in the reptile section of the pet store. One had a hold of his shoulders and one faced him with a sword. The third stood off a bit, looming.
What issss thissss human doing here? The looming one spoke like a cartoon snake man would. At first, Mystic didnt know whether to believe what he was hearing. But the sword point against his chest brought the situation to a very real state very rapidly.
Flame. Fire erupted everywhere around him. The thing about using fire in combat is, its bright and usually quite loud. Not the flame itself, but the screaming. Not only that, but unlike bullets or laser beams, it doesnt work all at once. Sure, you can take someone down with a quick flash over by boiling their blood and causing them to pass out before they burn up, but usually, its a contest of wills. You have to burn them until they stop moving. All the while, theyre usually trying to kill you.
Mystic had a force field around him made of magical energy designed to turn cutting and piercing attacks into kinetic impacts. So he wouldnt bleed so much. Its also supposed to slow or stop some damage. With it he can be shot or stabbed without bleeding profusely. That being said, when the snakeman hit him in the arm with his sword, Mystic grabbed his arm in pain and winced.
The looming snake sprayed venom all over the side of him, and Mystic turned away to avoid the green liquid. When he turned back and fired off a blazing bolt of heat, the snake reared and fell backwards as flame enshrouded it. The mage felt a sting in his back as the snake behind him stabbed him. It was a burning sensation, like the tip made it through the field, and when the blade was withdrawn, he could feel warmth running down his back.
Mystic summoned a flaming sword, and slashed at the snake behind him, sending him to the stones. The snake in front slashed at him one last time, before he succumbed to the fire that blackened his scales. The blow sent Mystic Inferno to his knee, as he watched the crease of red appear on the shoulder of his blue robe.
He cradled his left arm as he hovered away from the scene, uncertain whether the snakes below had seen the flashes of light or heard the battle. He hovered back toward the portal, doubting his decision to come to the Rogue Isles greatly so soon after arriving.
Two blocks away from the Two-Six and Nadia was still fuming from her recent episode. It wans't necessarily her life that she was afraid for. She could defend herself. It wasn't even the fact that they were fought against by the others that had caught them in the basement.
It was her brother. For the first time, he didn't come after her. She even began to walk slower as she got farther away, but she never heard his voice or felt his presence. This bothered her. She felt alone in the world, but her stubborn attitude never allowed her to show it. To show that she needed him as much as he needed her. Aidan just had a better resistance to tough love than she did.
As the young woman saw the floating can and jumped a little. He waited until she looked around wildly and found him floating above her. Thought you could use another one. I know I always can. Caffeine withdrawal is a b***h, isnt it.
Nadia's eyes glazed over with a shade of earthen brown for a moment before she realized that it would only put her in the same predicament as before. She was weaker without Aidan just as he was without her. HE was still considerably stronger than her in strength, but she possessed more power.
"Go away, this is all your fault anyway," The young adept turned her back on the floating sugar rush and crossed her arms, nearly knocking a passer-by over.
She continued walking toward the train station.

Oh, yes, I know, Newton said mildly, floating on above her. My fault for you sneaking into a police station and stealing food. My fault for you panicking and nearly collapsing a building and killing people. My fault for you nearly hitting your brother. My fault that your brother didnt come after you. My fault that your earthen powers are out of control.
Get real, chickadee. Im more than willing to take blame for what I cause. For instance, if you were to try to stick a stalactite up my butt, that would be my fault for taunting a self-centered earth controller who doesnt care about anyone, not even her brother. Newton mockingly stopped. No, I take that back. It would still be your choice on how you respond. You know, I take it all back, chickadee. Everything thats happened between us so far is definitely your fault. He paused again. You sure you dont want the Mountain Dew.
Smurd walked cautiously through the hallways, bare rock and earth between each archway of stone. He wished he had spent more time studying history, as knowing how old the archways actually were would give him an indication of how stable the hall was. Then a distant thump caused dirt to fall from overhead and he decided he made the right choice in not studying history.
The hallway in front of him went dark where it intersected with another hall. He slid into the protective shadow of a pillar and watched with as little of himself exposed as he could manage. A zombie shambled out into view and turned down his hall. Smurd panicked for a half second, reaching for his blade.
The zombie stopped abruptly, as a creature that hed never seen before floated out into the intersection. It wore a decaying robe and had glowing red eyes. The zombie looked vaguely Banished Pantheon looking, though without the firearms or accoutrements that he had come to associate with them. Only a powerful darkness and fetid vapor rising from it that he was beginning to smell all the way down the hall.
Then a noise, much like a train whistle sound being forced from a thousand humans throats, tore down the hallway. Smurds hand, still tight on the handle of his blade over his shoulder, tightened even further. A dark shadow flew into the intersection and cast a glance down each direction of the intersecting tunnel, its face a mixture of smoky blackness and the twisted skull of death Smurd immediately associated with death. Its eyes burned a blazing red light that illuminated the archway, and revealed another zombie watching the other hall, that he had previously not noticed.
Smurd held perfectly still, unable to bring himself to move back behind the pillar. As he watched, he saw an unearthly creature stride through the intersection. It looked aquatic in nature. Reptilian features and a blur of fear were all he took in. The creature had lances of red lightning dancing off of his green scales. There were red, glowing runes on his scales that were very similar to the ones that Mystic Inferno had emblazoned on his costume to defend himself from harm. From the stride, he determined that nothing in this hallway caused the creature fear which only served to increase the unsettling feeling Smurd was experiencing.
Behind the creature, marched two armored skeletons with bone swords that looked impractically designed and had an odd, blue magic field where the interior of the blade should be. Their eyes also glowed an eerie red, as the stomped out their march behind the creature.
Once they passed, the zombies scurried away down the hall after them, but the wraith lingered. It looked directly at Smurd, and Smurd found the strength to pull behind the pillar. Smurd heard the unearthly screams begin to get closer, they instead of the piercing shriek they were before, there was only an agony ridden moan as the wraith slowly floated down the hallway.
Smurd put his back to the rock, hiding himself as completely as possible as he pulled his sword free and activated his defensive magics. He could feel that this thing was way beyond his capacity to handle alone. He could feel the evil in it, searching him out and desiring only to tear his spirit from his body. But as it closed to within a few feet of his pillar, he could not locate the strength of will to leap from his hiding spot and slash down the creature, or try at any rate.
The silent beckons from its master drew it away from Smurd all of a sudden in another piercing wail, that had Smurd pull his sword close to his chest and try to steel himself for battle. But in an instant, it was gone.
It took many instants for it to be gone
to Smurd.
The man continued to talk, boiling Nadia's blood. Had it been possible, fumes would have been rising from the top of her head.
No, I take that back. It would still be your choice on how you respond. You know, I take it all back, chickadee. Everything thats happened between us so far is definitely your fault. He paused again. You sure you dont want the Mountain Dew.
Nadia stopped and spun around to face Newton. His floating body held out the soda can. She smiled weakly and grabbed it from his hand. She held the can in between her thumb and middle finger and extended her arm. She stared into Newton's eyes and shook the earth. Almost immediately the ground felt like it was going to crumble apart. Pedestrians ran for cover, not knowing what was going to happen. The earth beneath Nadia broke open and a circular cage of rocks formed and rose around her. The rumbling was fierce and Nadia had not been moved.
After moments of shaking, it stopped on a dime. There was no shaking and there were no rising rocks. The only remnant of her power was a stalagmite that struck the Mountian Dew can with lightning speed and held it like a shishkabob. The green drink, dripped down the rocky spike and drained into the cravices of the sidewalks.
The stalagmite sunk back into the earth, dropping the can. Nadia wiped her hands on her pants and focused back on Newton, "You see," Nadia started to explain, "Regardless of how bad it may get. I always have control. I don't care about your precious precinct, if you hadn't noticed. Bringing it down would have been no skin off my back. It was more, like my dad used to say, neutralizing the threat. Like I would try and kill the only person in this world that loves me."
The young girl shrugged, "Should have called this chickadee's bluff. While we have powers, alot of us are still only human."
"Self-centered? Nah, I love Aidan," She said, walking backwards, "And given our current circumstance, I just don't take kindly to strangers, even in their own backyard. Blame it all on me, thats fine," Nadia smiled bigger, "You must think I was supposed to realize some err of my ways? Get real flyboy. Go through what we been through. You'll know why I could give two craps about what you think or say."
Nadia finally turned around and into the chest of a man in a green business suit.
"Excuse you," Nadia looked up and her eyes grew wide as the man's face put terror in her heart.
"Hello Nadia," the man's voice almost sounded like several.
Nadia looked over her shoulder and smiled at the irony of her situation.

Well, chickadee, if you dont know what green haired mutant freaks go through from the moment they are born, and you dont care, get the $%# out of my neighborhood, and stop threatening my home. The papers that had been blowing around in the air around them stopped in mid-air and plummeted to the ground. The paper hit the ground with enough force to crack some more of the side walk. He floated up a little higher. He decided not to warn the self-centered wench that she was about to walk into a man in a green business suit.

Newton had started to float away, but the voices stopped him. He knew her name, the chubby man realized. 'Ah, nutz. I'm going to regret this.'
He calmly opened a wormhole, and tried to pull her through it. If she didnt fight it, shed end up at the top of the police station next to the helicopter.

That was not wise, human, a deep voice murmured in the darkness. The snakes may have seen that. A tall man with heavy armor, winged helmet, and a massive axe moved into the flickering torchlight. A lone mage traveling in the Snakes Caves. Truly, not wise. Deep in his eyes, flames seemed to dance.

That was not wise, mortal, a deep voice murmured in the darkness. The snakes may have seen that. A tall man with heavy armor, winged helmet, and a massive axe moved into the flickering torchlight. A lone mage traveling in the Snakes Caves. Truly, not wise. Deep in his eyes, flames seemed to dance.

The tall man turned his attention away from Mystic Inferno. The sounds scales slithering towards them reached their ears. They heard you, the bearded man said, straightening and bursting into flame. As I said, mortal. Not wise.
Three Snakes came around the corner, followed by one much larger than the others. If you can, slow down that last one, he said, brandishing his axe. Its a Cobra. Watch out; it spits poison. The flaming man launched himself at the first three armed Snakes. They shrank from his burning aura, and an axe embedded itself the chest of one of them.
The final one the Cobra hissed in anger. We have you now, Azurussssss!

Aidan raised the stone malet over his head again for another strike and nearly fell back at its increased weght. He scanned the room and turned up to see the heavy hero with outstretched hands toward him. Aidan responded with a backflip that upon landing, caused a small tremor and mediun sized boulders to erupt from the earth that caused anyone on the ground that opposed him to lose their footing. Aidan roundhouse kicked one of the boulders into the green-haired man's direction...

Eeep! Newton squeaked as the boulder flew at him. With a panicked motion, a strong gravity bubble surrounded him and protected him from harm, but the pure force of the attack slammed the bubble back up the stairs.
As he sat at the top of the steps, Newton shook his head, trying to clear his vision. The boulder had really hurt. He wobbly stood up. Between the force of the rocks, his own present weakness, and the earth throbbing, he was having trouble pulling himself into focus.
Okay, its not just my head, Newton said, stumbling down the stairs. Everyone out! I thought we were on pretty solid bedrock, but somethings pretty nasty here! He looked to where Sting was. Grab the chickadee and get her out of here!
He looked at Smurd and the kid. "C'mon, get out of there." Newton watched the ceiling, wondering if he had to, if he could hold it up long enough for everyone to get out.
