The forces of destruction, unleashed by those who would see our world enslaved by eternal night, have met their match in the courageous deeds and sacrifices of the heroes who protect Paragon City. As mayor of this great city, I wish to extend the gratitude of its citizens to all the heroes who placed themselves in harms way to protect our way of life.
In their reckless and blind attempt to harness powers best left buried and forgotten, the enemies of liberty and freedom have only strengthened our resolve to combat evil in whatever form it appearsin our cherished city and beyond. Though the light has returned and the nightmare shattered, we must not rest on our laurels. Our enemies have been defeated, true, but they have not been eliminated. They will reorganize. They will seek unholy alliances. They will bide their time and watch for our guard to fall. This will not happen. This city and its stalwart heroes will remain a constant bulwark against the fall of eternal darkness."
