We want to thank everyone for their wonderful entries and for making the 1st Annual Paragon City Film Festival a rousing success!

You wowed us, thrilled us and made us laugh aloud with your creativity and skill. It was not an easy job coming up with only two winners. We have an amazing community with so much talent! Give yourself a big round of applause!

In the end, two entries managed to stand out and capture us with their cinematic excellence. Here are the winners of the 1st Annual Paragon City Film Festival (click on the titles to view the videos):

Best Action Film – The Liberty League in “The Doom of Doctor Death”

Created by Mike D'Anna

Slickly edited, with a colorful, fast-paced comic book style, “The Liberty League…” is simply drop-dead cool. It’s the trailer to a CoH movie we’d all love to see.

Best Comedy Film – Sometimes The Hero

Created by Brian Shapiro

In a creative and humorous mixture of live action and game footage, Brian Shapiro, a dentist from the northeast, perfectly captures the spirit and heart of what CoH means to the everyday working person. Funny, inspiring, and ultimately touching, Sometimes the Hero is a superb ode to the game we love.

Congratulations to Mike D'Anna and Brian Shapiro for their amazing creations!

With all the great entries, there were definitely others that deserve recognition and we will be spotlighting the runner-ups on our website every week. Stay tuned!

Thanks again for all your hard work. Look for more “Film Festival” events in the future… so keep those ideas and cameras rolling!
