Quote:I get that too sometimes but not during play it's during zone or sometimes if I use /unloadgfx to clean out the video buffers. I have a pair of nvidia 9600 in sli mode I think they have 512 ram not sure right now.Throwing it out there to see if anyone else has this problem and if they have fixed it. Every so often I get a flash of the log in screen for 1/2 a second while in game play.Runnig on windows 7 intel 3 a Nvedia 1g video card macafe antivirus. Hoping I have a wrong setting. I upgraded the driver like I was told by support did not help. It's not happening on my old pent 4 xp 256 video card computer. Would apreacte any help I can get.
I've had some bad lag going on since freedom, starting to suspect the video cards but I didn't have any problems before freedom went live. I just put 8 more gig ram in the box so up to 12 from 4 now..someone had said 7 can be a bit piggy if you only have 4 gig and want to run coh. I see a little difference but still get lag. I update drivers rather obsessively so i've got all the newest drivers for cards, chipset, all of the above and even newest bios. -
I thought this was fixed, just logged on last night with some toons on pinn that I hadn't played in a month or two, logged on trays were okay, after zoning wiped. I've seen them scrambled before but not wiped just moved all over willy nilly.
I thought the "no exit" button bug was fixed but someone on a team tonight hit that one twice within the five or six missions we ran. -
I have noticed since the last couple of patches that if I'm in our SG browsing through the table inventory that the game will slow to a crawl & seem to freeze for a few seconds. Yes I regularly check for video updates (nvidia 9600 in sli mode). I believe I reported it, still happening.
I don't know if it's going to happen all the time yet because I haven't respeced a second time since the change to inherent fitness but the first time I respeced my power trays were totally scrambled.
I'm considering the change to windows 7 any known issue with COH under windows 7? Anything I need to know when changing over the be sure coh runs right? I'm assuming the coh client on the web site is up to date? I hate loading COH and having to let the machine run all night to catch all the updates..sigh.
Thanks and I hope this isn't a double post. -
If you're only getting disconnected a couple times a month you're lucky. I would start examining what you've got running in the background or whether your malware program or antivirus might be doing something to your connection because it thinks all the activity is an issue. If you use a torrent program I've found that that thing sucks so much bandwidth that coh can't run properly. I get disconnected sometimes twice per several hour session so twice a month is really good service.
If coh is freezing and it does sound like that to me... look for video card updates or other hardware updates...you might also have a bad modem see if your provider will replace it if it isn't yours. Access point/routers can be another issue, they often have hardware firewalls of their own. I've never had a problem with NAT firewalls on my belkin router but I have had them in the past...some games just do not like NAT turned on inside your router's hardware firewall...and of course make sure your router has the latest and most up to date firmware installed, last time I had serious connection issues the firmware on my router was out of date.
