Just as you shouldn't assume that I don't know how moderation works, if indeed, that's what you're implying with your condescending comment.
Nope, simply implying that you need to keep up with moderation in a multi-user environment - when in doubt, take action. Unfortunately the OP seems to have neglected any form of rational thought, and decided to come running to the forum before making any sort of appeal.

Methinks he's more concerned with attracting attention with the name than he is any censorship.

Hence why GMs use their best judgement. Do keep up with how moderation works.

I'm sorry, you seem to be under the impression Malta operate in the real world, and that the OP called himself Malta Extremist rather than Extremist Insurgent.

The developers know what the developers' intentions are. The developers don't know what a player's intentions are.

None of those groups have names associated with terrorist organisations, nor do they have any names within their groups that encourage terrorist imagery linked with the real world.

On the other hand there are quite a few groups which don't simply defend obesity and those who are over weight, but actively preach about how everyone should be like it, etc. Can't say I've seen very many militant pro-homos groups. Plus, on a hugely controversial note I can already see derailing the thread, being overweight is typically seen as a problem that can be overcome far easier than one's orientation.

Besides, if you have run a forum before then you'll know why moderation decisions can't be discussed in public - it leads to martyrs declaring themselves as wronged, posting one sided snippets of conservation.

MA's global in the sense of the actual globe, global names are global in the sense they reach across the EU/US database. Clearly this is NC Soft's subtle way of attacking American foreign policy.

Lord Recluse has a rager for me. I can say this with the assurance of a thousand suns behind me.
  17. Ah, reputation systems. When thinly veiled wink wink emoticon references can no longer give you enough trolling options.
  18. Tho' rather than develop a sudden lapse in integrity and pretend I'm morally RAEGED by Positron, it's because I'm off to the army in a couple of months and figured it'd be a bit pointless to focus on MMOs for any real significant period of time until everything's done and dusted, etc, etc. So, yus, I'm joining the massive dozen or so whose loss shall see our servers go limp with undeath and decay, and allowing my account to expire. Again. If the developers hadn't stripped me of content and tortured me with the Mission Architect, I would have had stuff to give away. But they did, so I don't. Soz.

Never felt excessively close to the community at large, despite it being a little more controlled than the WoW one, but I've met a lot of people here - including one or two I'm digging my teeth into quite savagely.

I'll try not to step on a landmine, but with the rampant PVP nerfs flying around I doubt they'd do much more than singe my hitpoints. Toodles y'all.
  19. Oh, it doesn't exist.

Just a weirdly vague reference to his tendency to make his attached name incredibly obvious. Don't actually know the guy beyond some really creepy book covers in my local Woolies though.

Poptart .. You seem to be acting deliberately dense in your responses.

Figured I'd speak to you guys on your level. Would be unfair otherwise.

    [ QUOTE ]
The rest of your post is peculiar. No one - except farmers - want 'UBER L33T ARC 12' or anything like it. I didn't say that and neither did ML, indeed the general consensus on these boards is that farming missions are bad for the game.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Congratulations, immediatly after accusing me of acting dense you make a remark that fits 'dense' to a T. If you'd bothered to read the essence of my argument, rather than getting worked up over the title of an imaginary example arc, you'd realise what I was saying: new content is new content. You and Mother dismissing it and claiming it's lazy - simply because it isn't canon - is a ridiculous way of lambasting new story arcs. That's the only complaint you two have brought up against the system.

Again, if the only difference in a story arc that matters to you is who writes it, then that says more about your standards than it does the developers. I mentioned nothing about farming.

Constantly banging on about canon doesn't change the fundamental argument. Just shows your record player's broken.

    [ QUOTE ]
You were obviously still doing your dense act, so I'll let you off with that oversight

    [/ QUOTE ]

I can switch away from my act any time (not that I would: seeing Londoner wet his little panties is hilarious), but you're going to struggle to break away from the genuine tract of ignorance you've been clinging to.

What? A chair? A duck? A football player? An attractive cross-dresser? What man, you must finish your sentence! You can do it, Londoner! Just believe in yourself!

    [ QUOTE ]
And get your facts right, the pic of the fella with the scate board is not me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hey, I never said it was you. I just said you don't have to go into your faux-scary act because I'M NOT THE ENEMY MAN. But seriously, I'm here all week.
  23. [ QUOTE ]

    [censored] you, you unfunny [censored].

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hey, s'all cool pal, I'm not Islamic. No need to fly off into generic MAN RAGE RAWR with me.
  24. [ QUOTE ]

There's no 'might' about it. was given to us.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Tough. Mother's argument is still petty - the demand is for new content, gets it, yet starts whinging because it isn't developer made.

That's the only distinction that people are getting hooked on, and it's hilariously weak. Or would UBER L33T ARC 12 really be different simply because War Witch put her name on it, instead of @W4R W1TCH? Oh, and the developers have stated well written arcs can make their way into the canon. So bang goes that side of the coin.

/edit - Hell, actually, I'd damn well put money on the argument going from "they're not canon" to "they're just the same old things " if the MA arcs had been published by developers. Nor Cal wouldn't be able to win, they really wouldn't.

    [ QUOTE ]

No that analogy would only work if (insert obscure reason about bread here) ....

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm sorry, I can't see your post past this shattered spleen I have.
  25. [ QUOTE ]

    No, personal opinion.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Opinions can still be lame.

You demand new content, get it, yet dismiss the bloody stuff because it isn't canon. It's like a hungry man whinging the bread had some ketchup on it.
