  1. The last time my account was active, they were still hiding all the numbers and such, so it's great to be able to see things. Is there somewhere I can find my current HP and Endurance rates, or do I have to tally up my enhancements/powers and do the math myself?
  2. Huh! Well, I had to ask in case they started doing creation time, as that'd mean I was owed even more rewards. ;D I'll submit a ticket, I guess, I'm too honest. -.- Though hopefully they'll ignore it. =p
  3. So I reactivated after another idle year, and found myself awarded everything up to Addicted (36 months); I DEFINITELY do not have 36 months of active time (more like 15 or something I think). Is this a bug, or did they change vet rewards to length of account creation time, not subscription time?
  4. Great, thanks for the info. =D
  5. I'd like to get the rikti sword for my broadsword scrapper, to go along with a name/costume change, but I have no idea if they still happen with any reliability. =/ Are the rikti weapons still attainable, or should I not count on it?
  6. Do you find Hasten really that important even with IO set +Recharge? Would the build just break if you didn't have it, or perform really badly? Now that we have set bonuses I don't cry about Health and Stamina so much, since I get more bang for my buck, but I've never really been a fan of Hasten.
  7. Nice guide! An Invulnerability/Ice Melee was my second character evar and it's a cool concept (which, weirdly, I saw three different people with it the other day on Freedom; a first).

I really like that you split up the different "ages" of the build; pre-SO, et cetera. I wish more people would do that. 90% of the guides out there seem to be written with the idea that you're respeccing a 50. -.-

Having goals stated and worked towards is also good, as it helps people reading the guide to know why you're doing something (aside from "it is the ubering"), so, cheers on that.

You might go back through and try and.. un-bold some stuff, it's a little funky to go back and forth from, but it seems accidental, like maybe a closing tag was left off somewhere.

My own Sprite Knight (idle on Victory lo, these many years) takes Air Superiority and Flight (which can be respecced out later for a 3 SO/IO-slot Hover if you feel like it, or in addition to), which might be a viable alternative to people who don't want to take Super Speed and want to juggle their pools around a little.
  8. PP: Was doing L15 shopping; if it picks up at 25, I guess running DOs for some of my slots isn't too bad.

Stuff like Damage and Endurance Reduction salvage I can manage to collect and make okay; it's the Accuracy and Defense (100k for a Luck Charm? no thanks -.-) that kills me.
  9. Excellent guide!

The problem I'm having right now is that, even as a casual player, there are simply not enough crafter-grinders out there to support only buying enhancements from the shops. Seems they tend to just delete them or something, because I regularly see bids 5-6x more than what's actually available, which is too bad.
  10. This thread is really interesting for returning players because I'm reading this sort of "X used to happen" stuff and am sometimes glad, sometimes dismayed at the changes. =/

    Did you know...

When a zone gets too many players at once, it spawns instances? In the early, super-populated days of launch, Atlas Park would have two to three copies of itself (Atlas Park 2, Atlas Park 3, et cetera) and Galaxy City would generally have one. You had to pick which instance you zoned into at an exit; a box would pop up, and your instance was completely seperate from the others.

    Guide to Guides

Need a URL change, I updated my Broadsword/Regeneration guide and compiled a new thread-version. New thread is:

    Casual Broadsword/Regeneration guide v2

    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showf...part=1#2749789

old thread is.. whatever's listed there now ;p
  12. What the.. how am I supposed to psychically know about I4 plot changes? I just play the game that's presented to me. I play superhero game cos I DON'T have those special powers. ;p

    Fair enough, though.
  13. Also, that AIN'T Sister Psyche. I forgot the name; Estelle? Something? Been mentioned here in General before, some chica from Brazil. Plus the Outcast/Hellion thing.

It doesn't bode well where, in the first issue, you mess up some pretty basic character names like that.
  14. Faultline's issue seems far less to do with it being tough for SSers to get around in (cry me a river!) as it does there's just.. nothing to do there. Its trial never materialised, there are no contacts, and the only missions you get for it are for random street sweeps that you can complete a whole 30 seconds from the zone entrance. I remember this place being packed at launch; no one did missions, they just swept PP til 14, then move to Faultline.

If players are never directed towards these zones, a lot of them won't bother exploring; they'll just follow missions, or their team's missions, around to zones with other stuff.

Think about finally introducing Faultline's trial, complete with the special enhancements you were supposed to be able to receive (effects two variables, like Damage + Accuracy, and is usable +/- 5 levels). You could even connect Hollows and Faultine via tunnels, have the tunnels empty out into the sunken area in Faultline. No more complaints about getting "trapped" at least.

  15. I've found that ALL my outdoor demos crash; all the indoor demos play entirely, we're talking 10+ minutes sometimes.

I started talking to CS about this, but they decided to close the issue because their reply system is borked. I will probably try again.
