  1. Ok you'll have to run one instance using the Launcher. Once the instance is up, you'll have to change the install location to run the other instance. My two locations are below. Each time you run the instances you'll have to change the install location.

    .../Desktop/NC Soft/City of Heroes.app

    .../Desktop/NC Soft copy/ City of Heroes.app

I have both running as we speak! Hopefully this helps ya!

Hi Cuppa. I have tried the separate folders approach but it doesn't seem to be working so I must be doing something wrong. In each case I have made sure that the paths are set to the correct folders, but when I go to open the second instance, the game window that is already running simply pops up.......do I need to have the folders in separate places i.e. one in applications and one on desktop?

Here are the steps to begin multiple instances of CoH. I have taken what Kuppa said and put a little more info to help.

-Create a folder on the desktop and name it NC Soft
-Drag and drop the NCLauncher.app icon (from Desktop or Applications) into the folder
-Drag and drop the City of Heroes.app icon (from Applications) into the folder
-Run the Launcher to make sure the game still runs
-if it does (and it should), close everything down
-Right Click on the NC Soft folder and DUPLICATE (Once duplication is complete, the new folder should be called “NC Soft copy”)
    -Open “NC Soft copy”
    -Run the Launcher
-Under “Installed”, click the drop down button for “City of Heroes”
    -Click “Properties”
-Ensure the “Install Location” has “…/Desktop/NC Soft copy/City of Heroes.app”

Two run two instances, Open the “NC Soft” and “NC Soft copy” folders and run the launchers! You should be in bidness!
