Holding a shield doesn't effect the SS animation, but it looks kinda cool as you sometimes swing with your shield arm, especially if you use the double-handed animation for KO Blow.
As for a better tank idea, all tank build have there pros and cons. Its hard to cover all aspects, there will be something out there or combination of effects that will just out drop you dead.
Just get an idea and go with what you like. Its all about having fun. -
I consider myself a seasoned player of City of Heroes, but I have been in and out of the game and have missed some content. Having not searched the official forums for help (just numbers and math from other sites and patch notes), I've built up my Tanker in this way. I've picked her powers mostly from a visual perspective (one hulking robotic arm being the primary focus).
I'm asking about this critique because, after looking on the forums recently, I am thinking about altering the build, hopefully for the better.
I am just curious if this build is adequate for the purpose of tanking.
