  1. I haven't payed much attention to order of getting some for the skills in Mid's, and you are right on the order, ofc. I normally take Hasten+AM ASAP.
You make a lot of sense with each comment, thank you.
Althought team teleport is a drawback of the build, I'm keeping it because I like to farm in the Statesman map and teleporting him in the middle of a spawn is good for his foot stomp. Also, even though endurance is a problem, I'm having too much fun with teleporting. I've leveled with super-jump and super-speed and I love the maneuverability of jump.
I'm doing a spiritual incarnate, and yes, you are again, I don't eed as much recharge with those dmg purples, so I'll use my posi blast set.

    Thank you very much LocalMan!
  2. Hi there!
I would need some advice on optimizing this build, trying to create an ideal ill/rad/ice/teleport with some nice damage(if possible).
I aimed for plenty of accuracy, since I hate a MISS screen with Flash, enough damage, since I like to solo various stuff, not much defense, since I stay invis and my pets do the distraction while I mow down single targets with the blind-spectral-blast-spectral, sometimes blinds-blast-spectral-blast. Should I put a hold proc in blast or spectral wounds for AV, EB cases, or is PA just enough distraction?
I have confuse proc in Deceive, for obvious fun reasons and chose the Ice cone aoe over the Ice storm aoe for obvious Terror reasons. I have it on now and my only viable option is unleash pets, cast ice storm, and go hibernate till storm passes.

Now lets see how I can put the build here:P
It worked, more then I wanted though.
Also what would be an approximate cost to this? I now have 2b inf and some global rech sets: 3x basilisk's(4 pieces), 1x dark watcher(4pcs), 2x Decimation(5pcs), 2x Expedient Reinforcements (4pcs), 1x Positron blast (5pcs), 1x Efficacy Adaptor (6pcs), 1x Doctored wounds (5pcs), 1x Coercive Persuasion (5pcs), 1x Unspeakable Terror (5pcs), 1x Red Fortune (5pcs) and 4x LotG. Pieces=number of enhancement in each set, req to get the global rech.

P.S. I have gone through the guide more then 3 times full and more then 50 times for various parts. 90% of my ill/rad gameplay is in tune with this guide. Some things I was already doing, discovered by myself, some I picked up from here and kept them because they feel right for me. I chose Ice because I solo and love hibernate, as much as I love phoenix, but Ice has a LotG mule too. Might respec later to fire, so I was thinking in putting the cheapest pieces in APP powers, to give me flexibility on that.

  3. Hello, I have no idea if this thread is still alive and the offer available, but I have just created myself a new SG, since everyone is using it as a bank, and hopefully I'll enjoy it with others, soon.
If the offer for prestige is still available I'd love to use it, if not, any advice is welcome. I am currently at 60k prestige and rising, farming for that prestige is slow, but I think rewarding. Can't wait to get lots of it and start having fun in base. The more the better.
    Have fun!

OK... after reading some more threads started by you I now understand the burning info reason: inflation. Good, because 2 bill info is a small cap for some, and they just cram mules for more. That being said, I'm ready to burn as much info as you give me, multiple times if you want, as long as I can afford it and as long as you are willing to do it, of course. At this moment I have that kind of money and I can do it. Also... for the same reason, last time I played for one month, made 7+ bill info in one month, stating from 50+5+2 mill info some good guys gifted me, and 0(towards -1) game experience. Making info in the market is silly. Now I farm (not AE): I can play the game better, I gain prestige while at it, and the random drops which are fun towards giggling fun when I see a purple drop. I have only one lvl 50 char, ill/rad which is not a farmer build, but is fun to farm with.
    Again, have fun!
  4. I think they managed it quite nice.

They must of tried to find a solution to the problem then when all their options failed and time was ticking, they decided to roll back.

    Good job, from my perspective!

Why don't you whining guys try other games for a change and see how an issue takes weeks to be addressed, or, in the case of a micro-payment game, even months, IF it is ever solved, because money-demanding patches always have priority.
  5. Using this guide, I have managed to get 3+ billions in 3 weeks, starting from 0 influence, simply because I am a newbie and joined the game on 30th December.

    Thank you!

    Is it my secret?

Thank you very much, Local Man
I'm now simply taking your builds and doing the math with the prices in the WW; since as a newb, I dont have that many merits of any kind and just mostly influence at my disposal

And sorry for slight hijack of thread.

    Is it my secret?

I don't know what FOTM means, btw, but for the OP:

When I asked on the server what is the most loved and used AT for teams in general, I got one general answer: ill/rad controller. That is why I rolled one. So no, I'm afraid you don't have a secret
  8. Hm... seems all the posters here are veterans.
Well... here is something from a newbie player.

This is a wonderful game that is overlooked by so many people that choose to go play DCUO or some other flashy/shiny new games that lack so much in comparison to CoH.

I just dusted off all my other games for now, when I realized just how good this game is.

So my wish is: Put something in the game for the new players, just like the veteran rewards for the old players. Create a balance between us newbies and the veterans that by now have all those great rewards and already most accolades.

    Some examples would be:
Special rewards for teaming up with veterans, for both veterans and newbies, so that we are more welcomed in teams and even desired for teams. The higher level we reach, the more we understand the game, and the more we understand it, the more we want to play it.

Unique item/costume set/piece for newbie players, for 3 months and/or unique yearly costume available on each January(or CoH launch date).

One month/two months aid pet that also gives game tips for all new accounts, for the first 3 characters created, obtainable through a quest.
    or
Temporary "panic button" power, available for one month/two months after
account creation, for all characters created.

Additional title above character name or special sign/aura above head that states the newbie status of that character.

All these can be used because not many veterans are willing to forfeit their amazing veteran rewards to create new accounts.

Also, we might recommend the game to our friends and increase the somewhat thin base of players. Win for ncsoft, win for players.

That being said, I love the veteran rewards and can't wait to get there, but to get there, this game must survive and thrive by adding a new player base constantly.
    Just my opinion.

    Is it my secret?

Hi, Local Man, I'm a new player and I'm building an ill/rad/fire following your guide as general direction. Was just wondering, since you made that guide in 2009, is it still valid today with all those set builds? Cause if it is, I'd like to give it a shot at perma PA. I haven't checked the prices on all the sets you have there, but they sure are expensive. Some people say it takes 20 billions, some say 4-5 billions are more than enough. I read your guide but haven't come upon a price figure on your builds.
