Okay what's okeieki?
[/ QUOTE ]
Oekaki is.... *ponders*
Well, it's a graphics program that resembles an exceedingly simplified version of photoshop or similar, with layers and such(?), but no file importing or saving. It's online, usually on some kind of forum. You go to the site it's on and you draw in the program. Like paint?
er, something like that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep <^_^> One of the easiest ways I can describe Oekaki from my limited experience with it is "online doodling" even though it can come out surprisingly sophisiticated.
<^.^> like the pics you put up too! -

Actually <o.O> Other than Retail Retali8r; I think you come the closest that I've seen; the hair is different, and you don't have the costume for obvious reasons <,< But the face I can see a resemblence <@.@> Which is slightly creepy. -
<o,o>
<ducks the Athyna hammer> <o.o>;; <,< -
Yeah I noticed that <,< kinda funny!
I just hope I can do that cape justice... I love the way you made it but its kinda tough <O.O>; I shall not give up! >.> -

Ok I don't wanna get all mean and nasty now but this looks exactly like the thread you posted a couple weeks ago! If you want free art hang around here in the art section, post in people's threads, give critiques and/or compliments and be patient. If you wanna be like the art hunter be prepared to spend a lot. Making a thread and asking like this usually produces very little response!
[/ QUOTE ]
Rox is correct hehe ^^
Free art is honestly a rarity unless someone happens to love a given character concept; or finds you to be a really cool person.
People like Katfood, Rowr and TA have put in *alot* of time on these forums; giving critiques, compliments, just generally being cool to talk with - and in turn some people have decided to use them as subjects for practice.
But last I checked none of them ever asked "Can you draw me for free!?"
TA and Katfood and Rowr (I name those three because I consider em our biggest art hunters) all spend quite a bit paying for commissions too. So while yeah they get some free work; alot of it involves money for the more professional stuff.
That's something one of my art teachers told me actually - people never seem to understand; Art may be enjoyable, but its also *work*. It takes alot of time; and you can't eat on pleasant thoughts and good wishes ya know? I'm lucky enough to still live at home while I work up my skills. You wouldn't ask a repairman to fix your sink for free right? If they do it for free you go "That's awesome! Thanks!" But you definitely don't ask them.
Art is no different. Hell, just because I feel like it, neither is writing! You may love the hell out of your job - but I guarantee you won't do it for free except under rare circumstances no?
I'm not saying "Pay up or shut up" either. I'm just trying to explain - the more professional artists on these forums require money because well, thats how they make their living. Us people still practicing tend to go by whim and fancy. If we like your char - we'll do it. Especially if we think you're cool. The sure way to *never* get drawn is to keep asking for it, see?
I'm not trying to come down on you too much; but I think it needed explained better. -
I had to re-read the OP <,<; I missed the 'couple' thing. I think that'd work. Though frankly she'd pwn me >.> No I mean it... it'd be like "Do the dishes." and I'd be like "Yes Ma'am <;.;> Please put the three foot razorblade down." and she's like "hahaha" and I'm like "you're so mean <;.;>" and she's like "Your cute when you cry." and I'm like "really?" and she's like "no" and then I get bashed with a mallet.
>.> Something like that. -
<o.o> Maybe we'd make a nice couple if I looked like her! <,< What?
<,< -
Hmm... 6'1" 282lbs, and male...
Nope, I look nothing like Yumii my 4'11" 124lb catgirl <,<;
If I did, I'd freak out <O.o> And probably spend too much time looking in the mirror. What? >.> So I'm vain! -

Yup, the movie was very cool. I wish the game was more like that. Go to a room, activate an objective, have guards come at you, so forth...
Nevertheless, that was a pretty cool movie, with some very fake powers

(<-- man, has to put shoe in mouth at least once a day or they revoke my male license) -
I figured <^,~>b darn internet makes that kinda conversation tough to pull off <,< Funny as hell lol
Odd thing - I have a villain with a disturbingly similar costume <o.@> her hair is different though.
<runs off to make new outfit> (Any excuse to visit a tailor! >.> -
Hehe <^,^> I have something like that out of one of my manga books <^,^> handy stuff!
-
-
<,<; While I understand why it might not be what you were after...
I gotta say I rather like the piece <'x'> Its probably not true to character - but definitely hilarious. That of course is merely my opinion <,< -
I should probably wait till I'm totally finished to post an update >.> But I want to see if there are any glaring flaws I'm missing before I do the cape and decide on a background
I've decided to avoid going with many layers of tone; instead I wanted to focus on just 2 or 3 tones per color because it seems to suit Crimson's drawing style better; IE: stark and edgy, rather than smooth
I still have a couple highlights to add - and I need to do the cape obviously.
Has been alot of fun hehe <,<
