I think there's a much better way to go about this honestly.

I don't disagree - as it stands right now, I don't think its too hot - BUT!!!

This has potential! It CAN be salvaged! >.<

So rather than just bashing on a guy for using dark colors - let us offer some advice, for there are ways to turn a ho-hum costume into a good one!

Step 1: As has been noted, you really need to do something about that visor. It needs to stand out from the rest of your armor, and thus should be a color that contrasts to everything else. Red or Gold looks like your best bet in this case - a dark red if you go red, or a deep gold.

Second: Use dark grey instead of black through most of the costume. Trust me, you'll get the same basic effect, but the detail will be WAY more visible, all you gotta do is turn it up 1 notch essentially.

Thirdly - your "Stealth" Harness - great detail, but I highly recommend changing it to a color that's different than your base. You're falling into the trap of being 'two tone" and you really need to strive to have at least 3 colors in your costume, preferably more. I'd turn your stealth harness dark brown OR a substantially lighter grey (to contrast with the dark grey of the rest of the armor)

The green however is fine as it is, it's a good color.

Final note: Your hair - black hair is fine, but you don't want black hair on a super-dark outfit. It may be OK if you turn the black to grey, but you might also experiment with brown, red or a dirty blonde.

Just something I did for fun this morning.

On the one hand... I have a lot of things I like about this piece. It shows off a side of Yumii's personality I've only done once or twice before; that kind of athletic and sexy girl she can be. Usually she's tough and quit tomboyish, so this side really only comes out around Remn.

Just the same, I like it when I get the chance to do something 'different' with a character. Usually its all seriousness and everything >.>

I'll let others tell me what they think the negatives are, I find I get more useful feedback if I keep my yap shut about that side, cause sometimes I overthink certain things and miss other important bits!

Yeah >.< I was concerned about that.
The gloves aren't actually silver - its just the top hand plate. I used the Sinister pattern - so the rest of it is all black, but the tops are silver.

Well, I've been mucking around with a Dual Blade/SR scrapper; Remn (by now I know most people here have at least heard of him from my fantasy stuff - but only a couple drawings have been done, and none in the CoH universe yet)

So anyway... here's my second attempt at his costume. The first I was less thrilled with; but I finally decided that story-wise, in the CoH universe he's an Ouroboros member from the year 2500ish. I've not yet determined how he got his training, but I'll figure it out.

Alrighty... first:

I took a page from Temporal Scout and tried drawing in a very loose all-digital style for the first time... well ever.

I don't want to sour the pool so to speak >.< so rather than give my feelings, I'll ask you all: What do people think in comparison to my usual work? Is this something we'd like to see me try to refine and go further with? Or maybe just a thing to dabble in occasionally?

I'm just curious...
