Quote:Could we please have Double XP turned on anytime that another event is not active? Many of us who are staying would at least like to level up some characters that we never got to level up over the years. It seems arbitrary (although so does almost everything else that's happened since August 31, 2012, but...yeah) to restrict Double XP to 1 weekend only. At this point, what's the harm?Let's go out with a bang!
Summer Blockbuster - October 5 - October 8
Double XP - October 18 - October 22
Halloween Event - October 26 - October 29
Winter Event - November 9 - November 12
Rikti Invasion - November 23 - November 30
Live Server Shutdown - November 30 12:00 AM PDT
Also, could we please have the Halloween Event extended through actual Halloween night (October 31)? Always been a fun night of ToT for me and my group. -
I don't brown-nose. But after reading almost nothing but complaints about the Reactive slot changes in this patch, I feel like I should point out several things that deserve recognition from other players--one of which is a fix for a long-term issue that seemed like it had been permanently put on the back burner.
Quote:Incarnate Trials - Corrected power disabling flags in Incarnate Trials, Ouroboros, and PVP zones.
- Travel Temps, Costume Powers and MTX Powers are restored for use in Incarnate Trials.
Quote:Incarnate Trial - Lambda Sector - Removed Marauder's base 30% S/L resistance and reduced the duration of his Unstoppable power.
Quote:Incarnate Components - Added direct conversion recipes for the following:
- Notice of the Well converts into 40 Incarnate Threads
- Favor of the Well converts into 100 Incarnate Threads
Quote:TASKS - The Woodsman Task Force (aka the Eden Trial) "Prisoners of Eden" will now properly start if the leader of the team is above level 41.
- Members of the TF team above level 41 will be auto-exemplared to 41 for the duration as per standard Task Force mechanics.
Quote:PRAETORIA - Corrected several instances where two doors (one unopenable) were appearing in certain Praetorian Tech maps.
Transmuter- Aid your Powers Division Team - The door to the roof where Reese is located has been restored.
And now back to our regularly scheduled B**ch Fest... - Corrected power disabling flags in Incarnate Trials, Ouroboros, and PVP zones.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Originally when it was announced that the Common and Uncommon incarnate components could be acquired via two different methods (i.e. running specific TF/SFs or collecting more individual incarnate shards), I was happy to see that this new end game system would be open to all players, not just to those who have the time to run numerous TF/SFs. With the Rare and Very Rare tiers opening up today, it would appear that that initial egalitarian approach to Common/Uncommon components has been abandoned in favor of grinding and endless TF/SFs for the Rare/Very Rare components.
For those of us who do not have the time to commit to multiple hours as required of TF/SFs, those of us who play during off-peak hours (as I usually do), and those of us who just have bad timing when it comes to getting on TF/SF teams, I'm asking for the devs to give us an alternate method--perhaps similar to the common/uncommon component acquisition--to experience the upper tiers of the incarnate system.
It's extremely disheartening to find out that after all the years of effort and energy I put into this game and my characters, I'm basically excluded from portions of the end-game system because I'm not uber or 1337 enough. -
OS: Windows XP
Processor: 3.10 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8200
(I have the latest drivers for all hardware)
I entered the second mission of the new Dean MacArthur story arc and the CoV load screen came up as expected. But when I ALT+TAB'd to go to Firefox, the load screen stayed permanently on top of everything with three or four small horizontal strips of "live" computer screen at the top and bottom of the screen. I couldn't ALT+TAB to anything else.
I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up the Task Manager to terminate Firefox, but the Task Manager was only visible in those three or four horizontal strips of "live" computer screen. I could see the main menu of CoX in the upper right of the screen so I clicked on Menu but the drop down menu was also blocked by the load screen. I tried ALT+F4 to terminate CoV, but all that did was activate inspirations. I used the Windows key to bring up the "Restart/Turn Off/Stand By" option and (from memory because it was not visible) was able to restart my computer.
What's the what on this?
P.S. The dialogue and one mission I did of the Dean MacArthur storyline were brilliant. I actually LOL'd a couple of times. And when I saw "You?" I was actually surprised - something that has not happened in a while in CoX. So, bravo on that! Fix the technical issues and "Thunderbirds are go!"
