Don't feel too bad. I never get mentioned either, I assume largely because I've never played with most of the forum people (to my knowledge). Of course, it might be just that I'm a complete and utter [censored]...or maybe more like a ghost (after all, I've at least seen DesolateJoker around).

    *Edit: I can too spell!
  2. This is indeed a fine guide, and will be most helpful to me as I continue building my rad/rad. Voted 5 stars.
  3. Hmmm. Perhaps I'm the only one that would enjoy any of this.

    Nevermind, then.
  4. I'm not sure this is the best forum for this post, but it seems thematically the closest, so I'll post it here anyway.

I'm not really a role player per se (many of my toons don't even have the description filled out), but most of my favorite characters are based on a thematic concept that I like to stick to throughout their development, even if I don't really assume their character as I'm playing. To that end, and as a sort of meaningless reward to get at level 50 (more or less the current logical endpoint of the game), I'd love to be able to add certain powers or behaviors to my toon.

As an example, I'll offer this: I recently (maybe a month ago) rolled up a Dark Melee/Regen scrapper on Liberty named The Mean Drunk. My intention was really just to level him up close to my main (and the mains/heavily used alts of a couple of friends on that server) to give our teams some personnel options. The more I play him though, the more fun I have with him. And he's screaming through the levels relative to my other toons, so he may well be my first to 50. Because of this, and the fact that he is one of my most concept-oriented charcters, I'd like to be able to add a few powers that have no real combat/buffing/debuffing power, but add to his character development. To wit, I'd like to add the following:

<ul type="square">[*]Stumble: a self-applicable (and self only) disorient toggle. The idea is to allow him to be stumbling around in a drunken haze. Mainly, I just want to be able to have the disorient animation on him whenever I want to.[*]Partied Out (don't like this name, but currently don't have a better idea): this one would be a click power with the zombie vomit animation to it. Ideally, it would be used "against" anyone in the game, but do absolutely no damage or debuff (or any other negative effects). I know this may strike a nerve with anti-PvP folks, but understand that I'm not really into PvP either. But this power just wouldn't work if I had to challenge people to use it first. Since it does no damage/debuff, it seems reasonable (to me) that it could safely be applied to anyone, with the only effect being that "Mean Drunk has vomited on you for 0 points of damage" would come up in the chat window. Some would certainly find it annoying, I'm sure, but I suspect most would just find it funny. I know I would. And beyond mildly annoying some folks (who could easily just go away from me), I really don't think it would be possible to use it for griefing (not that I would, anyway).[*]Pass Out: this one would again be a self-only applicable toggle, but causing the sleep effect.
So, for instance, when I'm about to log out, I might toggle Stumble for a little while and wander randomly, click Partied Out and vomit on some poor, luckless hero, then toggle Pass Out for a little while before logging out.

Ideally, given that none of these have any combat or teaming value whatsoever, I'd like to see them cost no or low end. Perhaps they could be part of a dubious accolade.

While it might be possible to get these as emotes instead, emotes are more limited than what I'm looking for. Firstly, most of them have a preset duration and/or do not work while moving. Secondly, the idea of these is for them to be tailored to a given toon, so having them as generally available emotes would (IMO) cheapen their impact for that.

I doubt the devs will ever give these to me, but I'd love it if they did!

So what I'd really like to know are two things:

<ul type="square">[*]What do you think of these ideas? Forget about whether they're realistic to impliment or not (probably not), and just tell me what you think of the concept itself.[*]What rpg/concept-friendly powers would you like to be able to get for your toons?
5. <ul type="square">[*]Supergroup Name: The Mutant Horde[*]Website: None currently. All but 1 current member I know in RL, so no need yet. Would consider it, if membership justified it.[*]Leading/recruiting officers: Heavy Waters (my main) is the founder of the group, but The Hambeast and Stolistanya also have recruiting authority[*]Preferred method of contact: ingame e-mail (though I don't check it frequently), forum PM (right now this is probably the best option), or in-game /tell requesting membership.[*]Guild Description: mutant origin toons. no other specific requirement.
Note: [i]due to the high number of imcompetent players on any given server, any new recruits would be required to team with at least one core member (Heavy Waters, the Hambeast, or Stolistanya) before membership would be considered. Idiots need not apply. That being said, we would gladly help newbies sharpen their skills, if their willing to follow directions and not put the team in peril. We don't actively recruit, but I'm certainly not against the SG growing. If interested, send a /tell (if I'm online on Liberty), or a PM on this forum.
