  1. The first time this happened it was kinda cool. Everyone sort of dropped whatever they were doing to attack random overly powerful mobs literally falling from the sky. By chance, I was in a heavily populated area/time of day and it worked out quite well and was fun for a few minutes.

Then after about another 2 hours, it happened again, but this time I was in the suburbs and the peak hours had died down.

Imagine if you will, me doing "free your mind" jumps over the encounter zone scanning for whites and blues when for absolutely no reason I'm suddenly completely alone. I'm like, "Where in the smeg are all my mobs?" Then this "A Bomb" appears. OK. I'll give it a shot. I start wailing on it, and it becomes patently obvious that I can't make the slightest dent in the thing. Well this is useful. Then, while I am trying to heal back my stamina, I am suddenly being killed by bolts from heaven. Just what I need.

This whole event is just a pain in the rear. It arbitrarily kills my grind, leaving me with nothing to do but hope that I can kill some of the weakest of the lot (since even the yellows are enough to equal 2 orange normals) or just log until reality (virtual) resumes.

It's not that I'm against the idea in general, just that I'd like this to be an OPTION. Something that you can ignore or at least wander away from. If it came a lot less often (2 or 3 times a day for example) then I'd be fine with the change of pace, and it wouldn't be disruptive. If only 1/2 of the zone was impacted, then I could just wander to the other side of the map and that would also be quite manageable.

It just feels like I'm being forced into it with a bloody cattle prod. More so when there isn't anyone else around to conviniently group with at the drop of a hat.

I hope the designers understand that one of the worst atrocities of MMO design is denying your players a choice in how they play the game, and this includes participation in plot/events.

    Just my informed opinion.
