    Sony makes the Vita

Sony already owns a super-powered MMO.

Sony wants games that are playable on the PS3 (like that above-mentionned super-powered MMO) to be cross-played on the Vita.

Why would Sony hire Paragon Studios to develop a game when they already have one ?

Why would Paragon Studios take the time and effort to develop a new game, based on a new (proprietary, no doubt) technology they know nothing about, to be played on a platform owned by a company that has one of their own games as a direct rival of Paragon Studios' main product?

Why am I even asking these questions ?...
just because sony makes the vita doesnt mean other companies cant make games for it. Even if sony has competing product

for example microsoft makes windows and puts internet explorer on it but we can still put competing products such as firefox and chrome instead

Now you will have to purchase both versions of the same game and have the connections with AT&T another $15 (250mb) to $30 (3g) a month. So if the other Superhero game is in the Sony Network currently you WILL be able to download it to your Vita BUT you will need a large memory card to download it on to. Like the 32g so spend another $100 for it and yes the memory cards are proprietary. And now your spending somewhere around $400 to play a game on a smart handheld, cause in reality it is nothing more than a combination of the PSP and a smartphone. Sounds like a Win for Sony and a loose for the gamer.

just my opinion and two cents.
you don't need to buy the 3G, it has built in Wi-Fi. On My Vita i did not buy the 3G and I can still go online and play using the wifi.

anyway maybe then instead of porting City of Heroes to Vita, then make a new game similar to city of heroes and make it just for the Vita. What do you think of that?

Effectively they would have to assemble another Dev team equal to the one already in place remake the entire game's art assets and engine all over again. For a Sony handheld. And those have such a great record in terms of sales and longevity.

And then they'd have to keep a Vita Dev team on staff just to port all new content over to the Vita platform.

Y'know, i don't see how any of that could be considered an issue. We should start at once!
yea but imagine because of what you all say, probably COH will be the only MMO on the Vita

so they won't have competition and they will make a lot of money?
  4. its not a console, it's a handheld

Anyone who attended have any interesting game news to report?

On another thread, someone said there were fliers announcing issue 4 in March. Can anyone confirm that report?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh yeah forgot about that, Actually did talk to Statesman a little and he said Issue 4 is coming within "weeks" plus the flies states a release on "March 2005". According to Statesman the PVP is currently going internal testing.

    Can't wait.

    WonderCon

Just back from spending the day at Wondercon, had a Blast.

Statesman (Jack Emmert) signed a screenshot of my character (it says "Nidhogg, Keep fighting! -Statesman" )

Plus me and my friend got to shoot a cool Photo with Statesman

If thats not enough, He blessed my Statesman Heroclix figure (""It now has all my energy in it")... I wont be losing any more heroclix games when I use it muahahahaha

There was also a Comic book trivia contest, people would name a superhero and Statesman would come up with a Trivia question...many good ones... a friend of mine won a Lineage game, City of Heroes game and a cool COH T-Shirt.

I also got to check out the new costume system, looke really awesome and has some great additions (Some I remember were the "Intelectual" face and the Anime Schoolgirl skirt)
