Actually, I believe one of the raid teleporters DOES fit in the 2x2 room. I want to say it's the magic one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This was correct in beta, and last time I checked. The Arcane raid teleporter will fit in a 2x2 teleport room (depends somewhat on placement of doorways).

    [/ QUOTE ]

last i heard, that was considered a bug (ie arcane and tech are supposed to take up the same space). and anyone who does it is considered an exploiter and will be banned, everyone in their sg banned, and their children banned from ever playing coh/cov or any of its decendants in perpetuity, so help me god.
  4. so what youre saying is that you were also whining, but as long as there is math involved its ok.
  5. if you start insulting people, expect insults back, dear. good riddance.

it has already been noted by the devs that if the current system is flawed, they will look at changing it.

    once again, read.
  7. it has already been noted by the devs that if the current system is flawed, they will look at changing it. there are already many posts with numbers here, some more with people stating their opinions cant hurt to get the message across that the player base is not happy.
  8. insulting people who have real grivances does nothing to further the conversation, ie calling their comments "useless"

as it is, i completely agree with him. one of the main selling points of cov was bases and pvp, and everyone should be able to participate, not just the largest supergroups. the way the system is set up now itll take 6 months to a year to build a pvp base for a smaller group, thats not acceptable.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Should giant SG's have more nice things? Yes, they should, they have more people and therefore can accumulate the money for more nice things very quickly. But note the use of the word more. My SG can't afford barely ANY nice things. Really, all we have are two big, nice rooms with an awesome layout, but they are all decorative. So it's nice to look at, but I still have a huge amount of unusable salvage. I still yearn for base raids and the high points of having a secret lair in the first place.

I'm not asking for a big [censored] generator for 1.5K energy and however much control a mainframe gives. Hell, I don't even WANT 1.5K energy. All I really want is a worktable, maybe an infirmary or one of those other neat rooms. Then to have my base grow from that. I don't think that's asking too much right?

Hell, I don't mind playing a month before I get the infirmary, but I do mind playing for a month before I can do anything at all. I do mind not being able to do the fun parts of having a base because we're a small VG. I ESPECIALY mind racking up loads of items I can't use. That's like holding candy in front of my face, then telling me to run 100 miles. Let's not forget every two weeks they're going to add onto that distance. This irks me to no end.

    [/ QUOTE ]

actually, this is what he says. reading comprehension is your friend. hope you and your uber huge supergroup have fun building your base and having no one to pvp with.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
    2) Large Supergroups should have an advantage over smaller ones. the arguement "I pay as much as they do" doesn't hold water because in actuality you don't. 75 active people working together pay more than you do solo or as a group of 74.
    3) Just be patient and try to actually participate in the conversation here instead of screaming useless comments about how you pay as much as someone else and should be able to do anything you want.

    [/ QUOTE ]

no one here is arguing that a larger group shouldnt be able to have a bigger base. right now if you have a small group you will never be able to participate in a pvp base in any meaningful way. keep your useless comments to yourself, thanks.
  11. nice guide, played this in beta, lots of utility.

start your own hurdle/swift argument elsewhere, kids.

    Its always the Max level.

Posi's TF is 10-15, and all of the enemies are 15-16. Thats why its always better to try later on in the level range, especially in the early levels.

    [/ QUOTE ]

ok, it must have changed at some point, it used to adjust to the highest in the group. thanks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I believe only the respec trials adjust to highest in group, the others such as Posi are set.

    [/ QUOTE ]

task forces used to, as in "in the past", adjust to be just above the highest member. if they are all set to highest now, it must have been after issue 3.

  14. 7 of us, 15-17, tried the first strike force, the mobs were all 21. we quit, leader set to easiest diff, mobs were 20s and 21s. is this not like TFs where mobs are above the highest level? 4 levels higher is too much.
  15. id like to say that ive actually enjoyed pvp, much more then i thought i would. i play a scrapper and a defender, and both of them can do well or get slaughtered depending on the teams... i can see 1 on 1 being more unbalanced, ie you find out pretty quickly what ATs beat on another, but team play often changes alot. once they fix some glaring bugs things will go even better...

Has it occured to any of you complaining about there being seperate European and US versions of the game that NCsoft probably isn't doing this just for the fun of it? That if it were so simple to have a global edition of the game, that's how they'd do it? And that the fact they aren't doing it that way probably means that there are good reasons for having seperate versions? Or do you just assume that they're all idiots who haven't even thought about what they're doing?

    [/ QUOTE ]

why dont you read the whole thread before you post? numerous people here have played mmos where the game was seperated into different versions, and games where it wasnt seperated, and are expressing their preference for the latter. im sure theres good reasons for why they are doing it as they are, and theres good reasons not to...as we are stating. if, for example, sony can manage to have different region servers (with native languages etc) accessable to everyone, im sure ncsoft can do the same. no one here is saying "the devs must be idiots" they are just voicing from their past experiences.

It goes without saying that segregation has no benefits whatsoever for the consumer.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
That really depends on whether you feel that localised versions of the game complete with dedicated customer and billing support, websites, message boards and community teams in those languages and at peak European times offer any benefits...

    [/ QUOTE ]

all of this is possible with different language servers, with local teams, that you can pick no matter where you are. it is still not a reason to have "us" and "european" versions of the game, when you just need different servers. the servers can be based in the individual countries, with support for that server in that country/language, gms for that sever in that country etc, but you are able to join a us/french/german server from anywhere.

there is no reason to have a seperate version of the game for europe, it does nothing but split the users and offer less choice. you can achieve the same goals without dividing the community.
  18. most games ive played in before have had servers in different areas that you were free to join, although you usually joined the closest one due to ping of course. but having the ability to join any of the servers and meet people from all over is important.

i dont see why they need a "european" version of the game, rather then servers you can join that are in britian, france or germany. and if you join a french or german server, it downloads the necessary language changes. some people in the us may even want to join an european server to practice their french/german, play with friends etc...

making people buy seperate us and european versions is a big mistake.
  19. fearsome stare has not changed yet. im curious to see which power, that or black hole, will be more useful to deal with overwhelimg situations when they are both changed.
  20. great information thread, post strategies and discussions here.
  21. constructive posts please. if you have strategies that work for you with the dark powersets, please post them so people can see how others do what they do. good work, kalyth...
