Not really a question on how to get it, more about ways to get to the lower level stuff I missed.

So I pretty much missed out on the mayhem missions from level 10-34, and I hate to be that guy spamming everyone trying to find someone willing to get me a mayhem mission (and before you ask, I do have a few friends that can help me out with a few of them, but not all). I was wondering if it would be possible to get my own mayhem on an alt, invite some random person, set the mish, quit and then have them invite the toon I want the badge for? It would require no effort for the stranger and I get my badge! So does that work?

From what I've heard, a lot of people skip shadow maul.

Wha? Skip shadow maul? From experience that thing gives out awesome AOE damage despite it's long animation. Is it really not worth it?

I didn't find too much on DM/SD from a search and was wondering about power picks. I'm aiming to soft-cap (or very close to it) defense on a somewhat low budget, and I can get around 42-43% melee and ranged with weave, but I was wondering if going with Darkest Night instead of weave is feasible. But if I go with weave I'll have to go without either shadow maul or hasten, and that doesn't seem very good. :/ I have no idea how darkest night works, so any feedback would be great.

Edit: here are the powers I have planned now.

  5. I checked my router and firewall a thousand times before, everything is working as it should.

I just don't understand why updating CoH is the ONLY thing slow about my college's connection. The game itself runs just fine, and I download other things from here just as fast, if not faster than from home. Why doesn't it like the CoH updater?
  6. I tried to get help from support, but they just gave what looks like a cut and paste response (everyone's trying to update at this time, please be patient and try later, blah blah blah). But isn't 233 BYTES per second a little bit on the slow side? I told them how it always goes this slow on my college's internet and whenever I take my computer home it updates just fine, but obviously they ignored that. Hoping someone here knows something, because waiting 44 hours to get an update is unacceptable.
