what if the ability to go back to the start wasn't a time based idea, but instead was the ability to change your character into an incarnate. the end of this life the beginning of the next, yet life doesn't stop kinda deal? i seem to remember that they wanted to fit in incarnates after the 3 issue ark was completed that contained the faultline redo. having incarnates and the fifth colum both in the same issue would work with that crazy richsman.
-
didn't he also mention that there was another coming too? is this in reference to incarnates or possibly something we dont know of?
-
i agree, before the well neither states nor rec was a hero in any sorts. they were gang members if i remember right. states learned the error of his ways and rec became more embittered.
i want coralax for villains and BotBS for heroes now. -
they're council cronies. the only reason that they can survive on earth in mass numbers is because the council incubates them in their prisoners (after much physical and mental abbuse ofcourse). the council also extensively uses the nictus (specificly pieces of them) to make it's galixy soldiers, war wolves and void hunters. council higher ups have absorbed the nictus (arakhn and reequem) and use thier new found power to assert council rule. hence council cronies.
hero1 gave excalibur to Ms liberty for safe keeping, if he came back from rikti-earth she would give it back to him. i do like the recluse tie in to why rikti-earth is now open again.
BotBS needs to be tech, it's the only way it would make sense to me. i'm sorry if supercomputers and oil scream machines to me. a shape shifter EAT? hmmm... sounds like the transformers! -
how will the nictus fit into the game though. nictus are council cronies so why would arachnos try to recruit council soldiers? i want to see BotBS now, because i'm excited about a tech EAT.
-
you're right, she doesn't have the gaping mouth hole
-
another matter, if i remember correctly, in the arc where you fight her and the freaks in the cult of the shaper, baracuda looks exactly as all other hybrids. she didn't have any fancy costume pieces or coral grafts if you will.
-
i'm hoping for a backpack like the skyraiders have on their teleporters.
-
they do look very delicious, not i just need to pick a character who needs them.
-
is that confirmed, because my understanding is that the EAT which was to be in the box IS nictus and 'warbringer'. has that been changed to include more EATs?
-
this means that we do not get the free content and the paid content. we only get one of them. what would have taken up issues 8, 9, 10 are replaced with what was supposed to be the box. hence net loss on story and content.
-
man, this whole thing is such a bummer, with the paid expansion we'd get more content because we'd have issues 8, 9, 10 and box. no we just have 8, 9, 10. it also bothers me that they decided not to charge for the box and then said that they couldn't afford to make shield primary for tanks. is nictus the EAT they mean? if so boooo! more content not re-hashes. this whole thing is turning into a series of bad calls.
-
any idea on due dates on each one? and what about the hinted parts of it, such as the EATs the new powersets and the new zones?
-
so 'city of shadows' is going to be dropped? that seems unfair. i want to give them my money.
-
i know that it means nothing to you to type out a single sentence and send it off as an answer, but i do want to say thank you for spending the time to answer all of my [stupid] questions and concerns. especially how quickly you did, every time i sent you a question i had a response the next day, a year later and i'm still waiting for states to respond to me. you are the only dev who i thought was actively looking out for the masses. i know it was your job, but i still would like to say thank you for sticking out for all of us so long. good luck.

just noticed that in all of the pictures of the coralax they have a very feminine body shape, dont know if that helps any.

this is what i said earlier about coralax being villanous, and i'm actually pleased that nictus is not available in a way. while i love content, i would much rather have NEW content that re-hashed content. i'm sure that everyone would agree. but this does mean that i expect the next two EATs to be villainous to ballance out the AT selection. this dissapoints me a little as i find playing as a hero to be more entertaining. guess i just have to such it up till they can implement the corruption/redemption tf (and find a way to make defenders not break cov).
-
back to the EATs being given to each side evenly, i dissagree with this idea entirely, the whole point is that they are supposed to be something unique or perhaps even epic. if both sides can receive them then it undermines their value in my eyes. instead of having them available to both sides why not just put in the corruption/redemption tf/sf? that would solve all issues with EATs becomming unballanced (while allowing defenders to unballance COV). because the coralax are clearly evil, the while despising humanity thing, why not give BotBS to heroes? they screw over villains, right?
-
confirmed new powerset for each AT in the box, unconfirmed if it will be a primary or a primary and a secondary
guess that the box will come out just before the summer for all the school kids to purchase -
any new news on the other EATs, specificly avians now that wings are in i8 or a veteran reward?
-
the talk is that the devs were dissapointed at how they promoted altoholism and yet they required a level 50 to unlock the heroes. that is why they began to discuss other methods such as time spent, badges, trials, etc. i personally love the idea of an accolade unlocking an archetype.
i beleive that the nictus and warbringer if they make it were talked about in conjunction with a tf. -
again, coralax is not the common foe. the common foe is the battalion which was mentioned in the announcement where they scrapped the skill system for good and announced the invention system.
-
khelds can survive for 10 years on they're own anywhere. nictus can do it for 5 because of changes they made to themselves to enable the draning of live force from others.
the comon foe comes with the invention system and is the batalion, which is intended to be nigh-invincible unless fought with invention system powers.
the fat loot system is perhaps the beginning of the legends system and not the incarnate EAT. i'm guessing this because of the poll which occured earlier this year where we voted on the new zones which we wished would be added, i was a sucker for rikti home world. one of the options was under water, probibally the coralax home city. if we were to have the coralax home city it would make sence to have the coralax EAT. it was also confirmed that the new EAT would be unlocked by purchasing the box, again makes sence. it was not said, to my knowledge, that the next EATs were due with the box, i beleive the next one the nictus (and possible the 'war'bringer?) will be in I8. it is also possible that heroes will be given the much anticipated hero 'issue 6' being as issue 6 and 7 were entirely centered on villains. this leads me to beleive that we may see a hero EAT as well, perhaps the avians.
for the new box. as far as the coralax are concerned,i beleive their under water level would be villains only as it is very clear that the coralax actively hate humanity and the damage its done to the earth. hence the coralax would be villains. now with such an evil EAT the heroes would need a new heroes only EAT, and with blood of the blackstream sounding more and more like a technology EAT, the whole oil and all, what serves as a better enemy to the fury of nature? plus the fact that they have used villains against eachother. heroes would get the rikti homeworld and while it would not fit into the EAT it would allow for the story of Hero1 and his team.
