Mittens, LOL. I'm curious as to your build just to see how some other players are doing it, doesnt mean I'll change mine, being stubborn like I am I'm convinced I have a good build.... And thank you very much for the links.

Ah, thats good to know. Missing isnt funI'd rather hit stuff regularly and do weak damage than miss frequently and do awsome damage
[/ QUOTE ]
Spot on! I hate missing with a passion. This is why I have an acc in all my attacks even on my Blaster with TD.
[/ QUOTE ]
Same here, all my attacks on all my characters have an accuracy in them, but maybe I've just learned a better way to improve my punching technique. -

Rage is just a damage buff, looks like a roughly 30% increase and once it wears off it gives you a defense penalty and a 100% endurance drop.
[/ QUOTE ]
it's an 80% increase to your base damage.
It is also a buff to your acc. I don't know the numbers for acc.
2 To hit buffs in rage and 2 to hit buffs in invinciblity you can hit MOGd PP's that con purple.
[/ QUOTE ]
I just went and tested it with out rage I hit a grey con mob for 668.9 and with rage for 854.62 and a green con mob without rage 491.6 and with rage for 628.09 this isnt an 80% increase and the power says nothing about an accuracy increase in its description. (All tests where done useing knockout blow on mobs that where same level minions of the same gang type)
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know if he is right but he said an 80% increase in 'base' damage, not enhanced damage. You could try deleting all your damage enhancements out and punching someone with and without rage. I'm at work or I'd go check it on test. Someone, DO MY BIDDING!
[/ QUOTE ]
Done and Done, went and used my Hurl which has no damge enhancements in it and it did 173.93 without Rage and 313.09 with Rage, thats a differance of 139.16 ^^ Okay^^ that looks like 80% to me, thanks for the help and "patience"
Now on to the accuracy. I realise it takes accuracy enhancments but if the powers description doesnt say it increases accuracy (like Build up for example) How do you know what to believe ? Maybe its another error that it takes the enhancments. And how much of a bonus does this give ? or maybe you can stear me to a sight that lists power bonuses and % caps, I'd lke to know when to stop socketing my defensive powers for one. -

Wrong again, just went and tested it again and 1 slot is all you need in Rage. I had the two icons all though my endurance didnt drop... rage is perma with only one socket.
[/ QUOTE ]
so what is it? now your rage DOESN"T drop? but yet earlier you were complaining it was? so are you just complaining for the hell of it without testing???
and it requires 2...unless, im thinking you are lvl 38 with 40++ SO recharge.
comeback to me when you hit lvl 40 and you can't buy lvl 45s.
then tell me it only takes 1 recharge.
why are people so rude when people offer advice?
[/ QUOTE ]
38 with 40+ and its perma I tested it and perma is perma, granted when they arnt green they wont be that wasnt the point and what advice did you offer ? your the one being rude, my origional comment was on how you think Rage is just fine the way it is now, thats where your smokeing cause not every player is a power gamer useing perma combos. Rage will suck bad for those players as it is. but I'm done haveing this posting war you started, its gotten boreing and is just plain rediculous. Come talk to me on Freedom where we can chat back an forth and not create more garbage for people to scroll through. -

A single Rage drops me all the way down - not in combat. Just sitting around with Temp Invuln on (to check) and nothing else.
Rage doesn't increase my End Recovery, how does having a Perma in somethign that drops you 100% somehow help you? This isn't Unstoppable Light... right?
[/ QUOTE ]
um...i dunno....i don't program the thing....i just use it....
my guess is that rage never subsides thus making you never lose end.

Though it looks like you can avoid the endurance drain if you reactivate the power before it drops, judgeing from the purple shields that surround me when rage should have dropped you still get the defense penalty. -

What are you smokeing.... with Unyeilding up you rarely got disoriented though it happened enough that the power had a draw back.
Now with 6 slotted Hasten and 1 slot in Rage all are green and that makes it perma every time Rage drops I loose 100% endurance and my toggles shut off. I have 6 slots all green in Stamina as a side note.
[/ QUOTE ]
No buddy what are you smoking....
you need 2 recharges in Rage...
Needs to overlap(you should see two rage icons) ..
so before you talk smack....try it out first.
geez.

RAGE IS FINE!...
why is everyone whining?
No more disorient....and
uh....if you have perma rage your end doesn't drop.
2 Recharges in Rage....
6 Recharges in Hasten...
and you are good to go.

What are you smokeing.... with Unyeilding up you didnt get disoriented unless like me you pushed the limits of your endurance and caused a Unyeilding to shut down.
Now with 6 slotted Hasten and 1 slot in Rage all are green and that makes it perma, every time Rage drops I loose 100% endurance and my toggles shut off no matter how many times its already done it on the map. I have 6 slots all green in Stamina as a side note. -

I was just on live and ran rage a couple of times and it looks like it's only a 90 to 95% drop in end, not 100. This is something that I can live with as an Invul/SS tank. It allows me to keep my teammates alive if I watch what I am doing and keep trak of time(now if I could only wear a watch that won't clash with my tights). Anyways, I thought I would post this, if any one else has different resault, let us know please.
....And thank you for you surport.

I ran around for a bit last night. Rage dropped on me about 30 times. Only 1 time was I able to keep 1 out of 2 toggles running, probably because a well timed tick. All other times the 2 toggles i normally run would drop completely. I ran a 'standing still doing nothing' test 3 times. Just with 1 endurance cost Temp Invul running. On those three Rage drops, TI dropped every time. I also have the Accolade that gives me an extra 5 endurance. I still drop all the way to zero.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ditto, dropped me to zero every time shutting off all toggles. Once more for those who dont read everything, this change is a mistake or error of some sort that is getting fixed, just dont know when but with a player response like this I cant imagine it will be a very long wait. -
[ QUOTE ]
Since States specifically said the end drop was too harsh, it's pretty obvious that they are working out something else, and that this going live is a mistake or a temporary slide along with the other changes. Especially since if you just make it perma- the penalty does not even happen after first time per zone. You never lose end on subsequent crashes. It was like that on test and it went live like that. Any Rage users reading this thread please realize that if you can afford 3 recharge SOs or have Hasten and can make Rage perma- via that route, you can ignore the Rage crash after the first one per zone, baring being slowed at a bad time. If you cannot then be very careful when you use it, until they fix this.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have Hasten 6 slotted and a single recharge SO in Rage and that has me perma and I still dropped 5 times on one mission last night before I hung up the power to wait out the fix. -
Level 38 Invul/S.Str tank. I3 changed my char alot, for the best in my opinion. I now use Unyeilding, my taunt works great and I do pretty good damage.
I never had perma unstoppable but unlike alot of Invul tanks I've talked to I did not respec out of the power. Its a situational power that I very rarely use but when I do use it I'm glad to have it. For example fighting Terra last night (Devouring Earth Arch Villan) however I did not use Rage, it was infact removed from my tool bar, nuff said right ?
Hurl is another useless power, its range is so short you cant pull with it without already getting agro and the damage is so low I cant justify useing it over other attacks because its attack animation is so long I can do twice the damage with a couple Jabs and a Punch, not to mention a Haymaker ^^
Invincability is a great power, it has a small taunt aura thats wonderful along with improveing my accuracy and defense and now it even helps against ranged again which I am thankful for. Psionics... It would be really nice to be useful as a Tank in the late game so I'm hopeing that getting some ranged defense back will give me that oportunity, since they are all ranged attacks all I have to do is live long enough to get them into melee...
Temporary Invulnerability and Hand clap are the only two powers from either of my power pools that I dont have. Yes I have Hurl even though it sucks, mainly cause I havent decided if I want to respec out of it cause well... its fun to smash mobs half your level or weaker with it ^^
Handclap seems pretty useless, I tried it on Test and I was only able to disorient white con minions or weaker for a very short time and since I'm ALWAYS in a team I never see anything lower than yellow con minions and thats rare, more often its orange con and higher.
Temp. Invulnerability may be good but I'm always running Unyeilding and Invicability I cant afford another toggle so I five socketed Resist Physical Damage. Any opinions on this ? Would 6 sockets be good or would I hit some sort of cap ?
My last complaint. Logging on to CoH there is no mention of the change to powers, this was a real problem for me because of the change to Rage which killed me and two team mates before I knew rage was changed. I think its really irresponsible to not post the changes on the log in screen. I was sitting down for a couple hours of casual gameing. I thought for sure if anything important or life threatening had been changed it would be posted on the log in screen. -
Last night I got on my level 38 Invul/S.Str Tank and wow, Rage sucks. I dont feel the damage bonus it gives is anywhere near adequate for the powers penalty of draining all your endurance and lowering your defense (shuts down all your toggle powers in the process and gives an aditional defense penalty)
When I used rage I have never felt like the "Berserker" it claims to make you, but at least it wasnt a horrible power.
What the power needs: A greater damage increase, increased endurance regeneration, a haste effect for increased attacks, and a longer recharge time (its far to easy to make permanent as it is)
All this will make its penalties an acceptable risk and make you feel like a Berserker while useing the power and not just after the power has worn off.
