I imagine it's like anything else that involves a creative endeavor. Some people will go with more generic options and pop a new mission out quickly (especially as they become proficient with the editor) and some will agonize over every detail spending hours upon hours tweaking it until it's *just right*. Like the costume creator and base editor before it.
I already expected to put alot of time into each mission I would create, so this is not really news to me.
However, as I understand it, you can save your mission or mission arc at any point in it's creation, so you do not need to create a mission that requires 3+ hours of work all in one sitting. You could put in 30 minutes a day until it's done.

Oh, and about that friendly NPC following you around, killing things and you getting full credit for rewards....does this mean I can make a big [censored] mob of friendly AV"s that will follow me around and kill everything on the map I made so I can solo farm to PL me really quickly?

From what I saw from the formula, it was
HitChance = Clamp( AccMods × (1 - TargetElusivity) × Clamp( BaseHitChance + ToHitMods DefMods ) )
So 30% eluse would be 1-.30= .70.
Basically 30% eluse cuts your accuracy by say...
1.4 Global accuracy
1.75 Power accuracy
1.4 x 1.75= 2.45
2.45 x .7= 1.7
Then you get tohit/defense, base in pvp is 50% and usually defense on forts is what? 38%?
50-38=12 <---yucky
12 x 1.7= 20 <---screwed
Course if you had Rage, +30%
50+30=80
80-38= 42
42x1.7= 71
Course, that doesnt factor in DR and all that [censored].
And Focused accuracy + rage
1.4 + .2= 1.6
1.6x1.7=2.72
2.72x .7=1.9
50+30+5=85
85-38=47
47x1.9=89 <---though I've never acheived this kind of hit rate vs forts or widows, usually 40-60% depending on mindlink or not. -
From what I read, you still get XP/Inf from MA missions so, MA will be great for making farms for low-mid level characters. Up until the point to where you'd want to start farming for recipe drops later on.
Freak farms at the [censored] when this hits live yo. -
1.18 global yea, generally with Rage going its not much of a problem, unless other SS users have hit higher than 50% against forts i dont see where it would help much anyways since DR affects final Tohit and boosting global probably wont net me a huge enough return to make me go ZOMG

Overall, yes, Eluse and DR together is straight retarded. I do a SS/WP brute and even with rage running I see around 40-50% hit rate against Forts. If I spray them with ARctic Breath, which is slotted for a -21% defense debuff, that usually only returns me a +10% hit rate. I know Eluse affects accuracy, but Ko blow is slotted to x2.06 and global accuracy bonus is x1.18. Rage is slotted for +31% to hit and in pvp only returns 21%
So, by the numbers, roughly: 1.18 global * 2.06 power= 2.43 accuracy for Koblow. 50% base hit chance in PVP + 21% from rage = 71%. 71 * 2.43 = 172% to hit. So I'm going from 172% to 50% hit....thats dumb.
To me, x2.06 alone in koblow should be more than enough to get over eluse, as I've heard its not like a 1 to 1 ratio on how that works. And even if Arctic breath, in pvp, does -10% defense, I should be seeing MORE of that to my hit chance since its Tohit-defense, not Final Tohit-defense. So my accuracy should be affecting the returned tohit I'm getting from breath...if that makes sense.
Get rid of DR or Eluse, together theyre broken.
I think the games RNG is [censored] too. 50% hit chance? My [censored], rarely could I say for certain that, on the average, half of my attacks landed after fighting 5 forts in a row. If half my attacks hit they'd hit the dirt with what little resistance and HP they have.
If I'm having this much trouble on my guy who has RAGE, I can't even begin to see how fighting anything defensive based is fair to AT's that don't have rage.

Yea, I'm not too eager on the reduced rewards thing. To me, that gives me no real reason to play player created missions at all if I can just run dev created missions for full rewards. What's the point?
I'm not looking to see if theres any 'zomg he's totally creative in this mission!' as, for the most part I'm sure, we'll be restricted to creating the same basic missions we've been running for how long now? Kill 'em all, kill the BOSS, find the SHINEY, lead the retard OUT, and so on. As such, theres nothing really NEW about it, other than it slowing down my leveling process.
