    [/ QUOTE ] How do you make a control power 75% (or 66%) as effective, then they have a simple 2-4 scale of magnitude? If you lower it by one, you make them horribly weak. If you don't lower them, controllers become useless by comparison.
    I think what you end up doing is severely limiting the targets. I think there wouldn't be much problem with blasters having some single-target control effects in their secondary...

    EDIT: who I didn't see flying at any point, incidentally, but we had control effects mixed in

    [/ QUOTE ] Probably fishy because they actually get 25% of a tank's defensive ability (by an optimistic count). However, Tanker defense is so ridiculously high that 25% is still more than enough to survive a dozen attackers.

    Rathstar, I rather like 1, 2, and 4.
    The fourth in particular has always been pretty funny, in a sad way...balance dictates it shouldn't generate zeroaggro, but at best they should only have a vague idea of where the shot came from until you fire a second shot. When a villian can locate a sniper to within a one-foot radius from a hundred yards away, well...can we recruit him?

    [/ QUOTE ] Really? I'd say a scrapper is more than "a bit overshadowed" by a tanker's defenses. Actually, I'd say tankers have around 4x a scrapper's defenses...that's more than a bit. It leaves the scrappers with enough that, with support, they can tank an average spawn. It's enough, but it's not remotely the same catagory of defense.

    The comparison to blasters' offense is a lot closer. Scrappers are only slightly overshadowed by blasters offense. It's right on there, in the offense department. Of course, effectiveness is a mix of offense and defense...the difference between a scrapper's defenses and a blasters is...umm...trying to divide by zero here...

  11. A very good idea, exactly what many people had been hoping to see and not actually expecting.
  12. I love teleport, but it's extreme vulnerability to lag is not something to overlook. When the server/area is busy, using teleport can be fairly dangerous...more than once I've teleported, hit lag, and it took a few seconds for the game to "catch up" and actually show me in my target location (and of course by then I was already falling fast).

    Teleport is fun, but it's also the most likely to get you killed in stupid ways
