I get defensive because I'm playing on Freedom 98% of the time now (but also several other servers too, including Virtue). I play with some fantastic players and people. So, guess I take it kinda personal more now. I take it that I and the people I play with are being lumped in with the jerks, or worse, I have some "special exclusion" because I played on Protector the last 4 years (up until the last 4 months). The only caveat I'll give is, there are more jerks blue side than red side.

Nah Wolfie I think the point is, that most of us would far rather teamwipe ad infinitum with friends here on Protector, than deal with the same crap on another server where you know you're alone.
Here's the deal, higher population on a server is jsut that... higher population. Meaning not only is there more people, but more jerks among those people.
To be perfectly honest, I've met lots more jerks on Protector than I have Freedom. I can name maybe 2 people I've played with on Freedom redside that were just *******.
If you aren't playing from a pool of people you know (SG/VG/Jello Shooters), there as just as many ******** on Protector, per capita, as any other server. And honestly, I've had to deal with more lvl 50 JERKS on Protector than Freedom.
At least it doesn't take an act of congress to put a redside team together. Or pool enough people to make a SF run, or get badges. It just depends on the group you choose to run with.
And yeah, Hyper, I know your joking... but I"m sure I'm dead to a lot of people now that I play 1. on Freedom and 2. on red side.
I realize just what an ****** *I* was being going around doing LOL Freedumb, now.
At least, if I needed people to get a badge (ala' Among Friends last night in JS), I wouldn't have a problem finding enough people to do it. -
I've had just as bad teams on Protector... and Virtue... and several other servers.
And your first problem was playing on Freedom BLUE SIDE. Because all the GOOD players are red side on Freedom.
And then my next comment would be: If you hate it so, why do you play over there?
And my final comment is: Not anyworse than running an ITF (on protector and mostly JSers) and team wiping 3 or 4 times before you make the first turn in the cave of the first mission. Yeah... that was a joy.
Edit: Yeah, guess I need to stop hanging out here... since I play on Freedom. *sighs* -
