I'm going to modify my original statement about turning Rep back on because I see at least 5 people with 4 dots already, but most of them have "Rasied the rep". So I'm modifying my statement:

I will turn my rep back on once there are 5 people that didn't "raise the rep" that have 5 or more dots.

So basically the same thing, but I'll just be ignoring those other people. Well, not IGNORING them for real, but you know what I mean, ignoring them for the status of my rep display..... gyah you gotta know what I mean.

So, just for a bit of "fun" I decided to start throwing my rep around, so to speak. Because I'm bored stuck in a hotel room on a business trip with nothing else to do. Since I said previously that I'd only turn my rep score on if at least five people were five dots or more, I decided to help it along. So I started to look down the list in order.

But I made a rule for myself, I wouldn't uprate anyone that had EVER posted in the "raise the rep" thread. Even if they thought that they were being "benevolent" by "helping" people, it's still an artificial attempt to "game" the system, and I don't approve of it. So I decided to uprate the FIRST FIVE people that didn't post in that thread.

I was very surprised to find out that I had to come to #11 to get my five. Out of the top 10, SIX of them had participated in that thread. I am very disappointed indeed. Depending on how malicious I feel in the next few minutes, I might just post that list...

By the way, Perfect_Pain was my 5th. Yeah she may be a whiny temperamental bimp, but at least she's being honest with the Rep System, from what I can see...

Here, I'll make a compromise. The primary reason (if you couldn't guess from my list) why I turned it off is because I do NOT think I should be number one. So.... I'll turn it on, when and IF at least five other people get 5 or more Rep dots. Then I'd probably feel safe to turn mine on and not let it go to my or other people's head. Cause then I'd be fitting in among a group of people instead of sitting up there by myself. I'd LOVE it if there were people with like 7 or 8 (how high does this thing go anyways?). I just don't want to be right near the top, I want a few people above me (wow, that sounded DIRTY!).
