they forgot the most important part of a wedding outfit
RINGS -
Just a side note the Devs. This could go in Sexy Jay's costume thread but since we're already discussing the wedding pack here, I'll mention it.
You guys forgot the most important part of a wedding ensemble....

Whenever someone trots out the "if you don't like it, quit" line they have just accepted defeat. That is a completely useless and worthless thing to say. A major reason for these forums is feedback. Negative feedback should not be responded to with "just quit" from mindless fanboy sheep.
[/ QUOTE ]
and whenever someone pulls out the fangirl card, they have run out of meaningful arguements and are simply declaring victory and patting themselves on the back for how clever they are.
They fact that you are simply spewing venom and hatred toward the Devs shows that you've already made up your mind and are not even interested in considering another option.
But you can NOT deny the simple logic, if something is not fun for you... don't do it. It's really that simple. -

There is still a full complement of free Issues and content scheduled for this year and beyond for City of Heroes and City of Villains.
This pack is something that we were able to make available outside of our regular release schedule. So, no, you won't have to pay for other new costumes and emotes. We realize that the Wedding Pack won't be for everyone, but hopefully those who are interested in it will find that they like having the option to obtain it.

Um. Nice try, but no.
City of Heroes/Villains is already incredibly LACKING in content variety.

says you. I've been playing this game for 4 years and I'm still not bored with it. there are still things I have not done and story lines for me to explore
[ QUOTE ]
It is bad enough you expect us to run Warehouse Mission #876,896,123 ad infinitum on every character, but now you're selling costume options and emotes as an add on?
Sorry, but you have to decide right now if CoX is a subscription based game, or a "pay-for-perks" game. You don't get to do both. Figure out which business model you prefer, and stick with it. Cherry picking from both is repulsive.
[/ QUOTE ]
why? what's so repulsive about it? They give us "free expansions" on a regular basis and every once in a while... once in a long while... they throw something out there we have to pay for if we want it. I don't see what's wrong with that.

$10 for a couple of VERY specialized costume options and 4 emotes is outrageous.
[/ QUOTE ]
again.. why? as I said before we pay $10 for a silly name change, what's the big deal with paying $10 for absolutely awesome exclusive costume options?
it really comes down to "I like it and you don't". But you state things in such an absolute and athoritative manner, like your opinion should be the law. If you really so unsatisfied with the game and what it offers, perhaps it's time to move on? -
omg there's so much I'm gonna do with this... all my infl is going to go *poof* on my cosutmes now
-
all i have to say about the price is this... and forgive me if it's been said already
are you willing to pay $9.99 for something as cosmetic as a ... character rename??
if so... what's the problem with this??
I personally have no problem paying this price for amazingly awesome exclusive costume pieces
the emotes are just icing on the cake -

well, I'm about 4 days off, but it's been pretty much a month since she confirmed payment...I went ahead and filed mail fraud against the person, because she is blatantly ignoring me and judging by some replies on her DA page, she has been online.
would like to thank Gamma Girl for saying something as well

sometimes when an previously unknown 3rd party pokes someone with a stick, it gets a reaction =)
unfortunately that's not the case here... I hope you get some action on this. It's one thing if you waiting for someone to make you art but it's entirely different if the art is already done and they just aren't sending it to you. -

The thread list for Freedom Server's forum section is rather interesting to read right about now.
My response to the ones complaining? stop encouraging the PL'ers and the farmers, because the ones doing it for money are clogging up your server, using high-speed internet pipes from overseas to log in people ten, twenty, maybe even a hundred at a time.

which makes my idea of kicking everyone off at regular intervals all the more attractive -

So because you choose to play on a high population server you would rather they did what exactly, have them lock all servers if they need to lock Freedom and Virtue so it would be fair to you?
Please, believe it or not the world revolves around the sun, not you.
[/ QUOTE ]
neither does it revolve around the chosen who get to log in and play, but they are getting all the benefits while I (hypothetically) get none. Your suggestion that I think the world revolves around me is uncalled for. I simply asking for the same privledges and benefits that other paying player get. If I can't, due to system limitations, get the same benefits through playing, then I should be awarded them in some other way.
I intentionally left out (c) and (d) because they were irrelevant. The basic point of Section 10 is this:
"it's not our fault if you can't get in".
It IS however, their fault if they selectively choose who gets in. I still do not believe the EULA covers that.
If I pay $15 per month and you pay $15 per month and they give you a gold star, then I damn well better get a gold star, too. -

User Agreement (refer to Section 10).
[/ QUOTE ]
(a) NC Interactive reserves the right to interrupt the Service from time to time on a regularly scheduled basis or otherwise with or without prior notice in order to perform maintenance. You agree that NC Interactive will not be liable for any interruption of the Service, delay or failure to perform resulting from any causes whatsoever.
(b) You acknowledge that the Service may be interrupted for reasons beyond the control of NC Interactive, and NC Interactive cannot guarantee that you will be able to access the Service or your Account whenever you may wish to do so. NC Interactive shall not be liable for any interruption of the Service, delay or failure to perform resulting from any causes whatsoever.
I refered to this earlier. In the event of a server outage where nobody can connect I can see how this would apply. But this is not a case of servers been down or service being interrupted for all players. This is a case of "we are going to let some people but not others. Who determines who gets in and who dosen't? A creative and industrious player could even make a case for discrimination.
The EULA applies to everyone.. not just some players. If the servers are down, fine, I can accept that. It already happens a lot. But if access is being given selectively and "interruptions of service" are happening selectively, I don't believe the EULA is shield for that. -

amid all the doom crying, one thing has been overlooked.
they don't *have* to do these double Xp weekends for us.
[/ QUOTE ]
by the same token, I never asked them to do a double XP weekend or any other event that could prevent me from playing.
Yes, I can make an alt on another sever. But my main would NOT get the benefit of the double XP. Why should another player, or worse yet a RMTer, get the benefit of double XP on their Chosen character but I can not.
I know it may not happen... but it could... and I like to be prepared.
if a bunch of people are paying the same monthly fees they should all have the same opportunities to take advantage of double xp. No, the arguement that I can go to another sever holds no water. If someone else has the opportunity to play their chosen character on their chosen server but I do not... then that is unfair practice.
Yes, we agree when we sign up for a the game that sometimes we may not be able to connect. Sometimes the sever(s) may be down. But that affects everyone trying to connect. This situation, however, specifically says, "We are going to let you, you and you log onto your character of choice... but not YOU".
If I am told I can not log onto my character of choice while other people can... I want compensation. I demand the same opportunity and benefits that every other paying player gets. -
I'm usually a big supporter of the Devs but I have to say this kind of blows. All my main characters on Freedom. So if I get locked out... what does that mean? That the money of the people who didn't get locked out is better than my money? Someone else has more rights than me?
If I'm paying... I should be playing... end -
*giggles* I used to do stuff like that with kissake but I have no talent at all with flash.

using my last piece as a template, I did two more in MS Paint... even tried playing with color. Safe for Work this time
