I confirm I'll be there for targetting duty. Would not want to miss possibly the last old style one.
-
I think I will be running an issue 9 Hami raid once it goes live.
I don't however want to put my old style Hami raid 100% leader record (of 1) at risk though -
Cya Heyman, take care and maybe hope to see you if you do feel like popping back some time down the road.
-
I can understand that. I came away with a headache tonight because of all the chatter on broadcast. It was difficult to see instrcutions etc, chat was going up so quick.
On top of that I crashed out as well, which is no-one's fault I know and is unusual. First Hami raid on ATI 7.2 drivers which have been a bit buggy still.
Think I may put the culprit on global ignore, I have resisted as I don't like the thought of stuff being said that I cannot see, but to be honest, I can't see what I have to gain from seeing what is said.
Hope we do continue but I hope people reflect on what was said across broadcast all through the raid tonight and tone it down and don't rise to it. -
Assume I won't be there on Sunday as I don't think I can make it.
If I can, it will be on a laptop near the end for the Hami-o and I won't be able to act as targeter.
Hopefully be around for the one after. -
Good work all. Thought Mitos were a bit easier tonight overall, with less re-spawning all the time, which was nice.
Bit scary with no teamspeak for me and having to look out for the tank team which I caught sight of a few times and I still get disorientated easily with Hami blinking out etc.
No idea if I actually went anti clockwise or not to be honest. Think it would be interesting to see the route i took plotted out as I get the feeling sometimes its all over the place.
I did have to move in and out a bit more than usual as there seemed a few mitos near Hami itself that were proving hard to target and the last thing I wanted was an accidental targeting of Hami, however brief. -
Have you asked support if they can restore your toons from a backup? I'm sure that there is a chance they can under such circumstances as yours with a bit of luck.
-
Bye Aerie. Always enjoyed reading your posts on forums but think I never got to team with you. Sorry to hear you leaving but have fun and hope to see you back one day.
-
I should be there with Odins Son for targeting and then switch to my controller War Rock for the holding phase.
-
I thought I read somewhere about issue 9 and the new style Hami raid offering up some surprises or something else to keep people busy. Could it be that this is GM ambushes and this part has arrived early after a patch?
-
Grats Johnathan Hawke, seen you around a bit and teamed up once or twice I think with Odins Son.
Roll on the next 50 -

P.S The best moment ever? Tridento used a bind for mistake while was using our mighty targeter: "Odins Son, may I borrow your brain? I'm building a moron"

This made me laugh when I read it, I must have missed that on the night.
There was a bit of a jump start, but this was about as bad as it got, so for first time new raid leaders, I think things went well overall.
I think the call in future should be Hami Tank, raid leader, targeter, whoever they are, to ensure mito phase only starts when confirmed aggro consolidated.
By the looks of invention, some pieces will drop with the new style smaller Hami raid, so I don't know if people will want more raids or less before issue 9, guess will have to see what the reaction to once a week is.
Be good if the day at least alternated to allow people the chance to attend at weekend and in week as an option in my view. -
Just wanted to add that I thought the tank team and their healers did a good job syating one step ahead of the mitos clearing team.
Don't think they were on teamspeak, hence my more than normal calling out in my usual Hami raid CAPITAL LETTERS to Hammer.
Good job guys, if anything, made me be a bit more circumspect in my targeting this time which going forward I think is a good thing. -
Well done all. Thanks and congratulations to Hidden Healer and Captain Alpha on organising this.
I did notice alot of Mitos were splitting on this raid, don't know whay that was the case. On one or two occasions there were green healer mitos nearby but not all the time so I cannot explain the reason why.
I think the GM's held off out of respect for my targeting -
Good find Krunch, saves me the bother I think. It's a good guide. Covers off everything very well.
About the only thing not mentioned is keeping Hami and GM's out of line of sight and this stops them being targeted when using Control-Tab.
That said, it emphasises the mouse hovering over next target which mitigates the need for Control-Tabbing anyway.
I think general game performance improvements mean that you can now chat and not rely purely on binds to direct to next target.
That, and don't over rush to find a target when the mitos get scarce. I find if you say you are searching for a target, people understand. This is better than zooming off a great distance and loosing people. Better to inch around the map so people can follow easily. -

Guy's, i will be on as Freezing Burner.
I would like to throw together a team (including the targeter) who all have quite a few hami raids under there belt to keep everything in check
Just reply to this or pm me on the board or in game if you think you can help out with it

I hope to be there as Odins Son for targeting. I have sent you a PM as well. Some basics we need to sort for mito clearing like direction of mito clearing to be clockwise or counter clockwise, so theHami tank team knows where the mito clearing is going.
Some debate about who should be on the Request channel usually occurs. With a few people involved in organising the raid, I will stay off it as I can co-ordinate the mito group over Broadcast and 1 less on Request channel is likely to be a good thing.
As targeter, I think I may take the extra bit of time before moving from mito to mito to check for the tank team. I find that with the buffeting from people on follow, I can get dis-orientated easily, especially if Hami blinks out and I loose my point of reference. This is also made harder as I try not to have Hami in my line of sight when targeting anyway as I don't want to select it by accident when the mito we are attacking dies and so when Hami blinks out I am flying blind.
Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts and findings in case for whatever reason I can't be there, someone may find this useful if they fill the role. I should post a little guide really. -

I'll be there for my 2nd Hami raid with D. Structor. I got the kill in the end so I think you need melol.
I'm fire/fire blaster so I don't mind what team I'm in (GM/Hami) just let me know and I'll help as much as pos.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you were a blaster last time, how did you get the kill as the holding phase is limited to Controllers holds with support from Rad Defenders?
lag is an issue on Hami raids and the guide fleshes out the reasoning for limiting the hold phase to Controllers where numbers allow. -

I think it was Odins Son who usually does the targetting; would be great if he could make it again, if not I'll find another suitable targetter.
[/ QUOTE ]
All being well, I'll be there with Odins Son. Been wanting more Hami-o's as I think I have missed one or two of the last raids around Christmas time. -
If I'm around, I'll act as targeter if needed. I don't want to looe my 100% success Hami raid leader (all be it 1 raid
)
I think if you have a few people doing the key roles, it should be possible to be successful at Hami. It may need a bit more communication in game if organiseers are not all on team speak, but it has been done before so can't see why we can't make a success of it. -
Think I was there along the way on War The Impaler, grats on the 50.
-
Hope you are better Hey Man. Sorry I missed it too due to real life commitment I could not change.
Looking forward to the next one too. -
Grats on a successful raid, sounds like I missed an interesting one there.
Looking forward to be being around for the next one assuming the date fits.
