Had the same happen as well. I had taken off a bunch of stuff from mail, put on 20 crafted items (with the intention of getting to them the next night), but everything was reverted by the time I got a chance to log in. Petitioned about it on the character who last sent the mails, and support asked for the character name again, and was able to check out the logs of what I put on there last.
I was able to get back every time. There is a log of what is and was sent through the mail. -
