you have yet to actually be where it counts.
[/ QUOTE ]
And brother, I can safely say I'm glad I'm not there this week..
Bet they are having fun.. -
You make the point for me.
They learned from those two previous situations.
And they overshot both times why again ??
Oh, that's because Statesman couldn't handle the speed with
which the power gamers cruised through his game.
/edited for retardation -
[ QUOTE ]
I put up with posts like these from other MMORPGs, lets at least try to be constructive than believing every Gaming Company out there has some deep hatred for it's gamers to purposily ruin the games they play (all except for SOE, they are the devil!!)
[/ QUOTE ]
I do not believe anythng of the kind.
But, caveat time, I have watched this game since beta and I
have seen what the power gamers did to Statesman's ego
and I firmly believe he is still hurting and wants nothing more
than to slow the game down.
Lil' States came out quite a while ago..

And not without reason. -
[ QUOTE ]
Until you get access to the inner sanctums of Cryptic Studios and NCSoft, don't talk as if you *know*.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fortunately, I do happen to know exactly how this type of
product is tested and I do happen to know that the features
of this update were fully understood prior to implementation.
The stability issues I can believe were actual "bugs"...
The feature issues I cannot believe were actual "bugs"... -
Stop slurping, fanboy.
You go on believing in "mistakes"...
I'll stick to what I know about how many servers that update
crossed before it ever got anywhere near the player test server. -
[ QUOTE ]
Case in point: you are also assuming the +1 mission issue is a simple fix. I may not be and that they knew about it before release and continue to know about without it being fixed (but working on it according to them) may indicate it is a more complicated issue than just: "Doh! Let me recode that from +1 to 0."
[/ QUOTE ]
+1 mobs aside, the low level mob status effects went live with
full knowledge of the devs.
And your assumptions regarding the code are no more valid than
the assumptions that they let it go live on purpose.
No matter how much you want to believe, there is far more
evidence that they let it go live knowing exactly was was up than
there is for the "oops, it's a bug" scenario. -
[ QUOTE ]
But should this "Difficulty Slider" be implemented anytime soon, this entire debate on difficulty will be a moot point and we can all move on to complain about other things.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hate to burst your bubble on that one, but Statesman has
directly said that he cannot offer any time frame for a difficulty
slider.
Given the amount of time required to code and test the feature it
will be months before any difficulty slider sees the light of
day. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm sorry can you please post links to the posts you did in the Testing Server prior to this going live so we can see just how much help you were to the testing process.
[/ QUOTE ]
They didn't listen in beta, so what makes you think I would waste
my time trying now ?
I pay to play.. Cryptic and NCsoft get paid to test.
[ QUOTE ]
When was the last time you opened a book?
[/ QUOTE ]
A few minutes ago, funny though, there weren't any giant run-on
sentences and the paragraphs had indentations.
Let's keep our comparisons in perspective, shall we ? -
[ QUOTE ]
I agree the ignorance is amazing. How you can think that regardless of internal testing that things don't slip through.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you think that something of this magnitude "slipped" through,
you are an idiot.
And try hitting the enter key once in a while, it would make
reading your posts slightly less painful. -
[ QUOTE ]
Dear, dear Vegie: Do know that Issue 2 was released with known and unknown bugs. However, you still use rather selective statements out of their overall context to support your trolling exercise.
Statesman comment 1
Statesman comment 2
There are others as well.
Valdermic on bugs... Perhaps you should consider all things carefully before you speak as if you were the authority on peoples intentions and motives.
[/ QUOTE ]
Your reply is both illogical and assinine...
What does it possibly prove to post after the fact quotes and
vladermic's BS on bug reporting ?
You sound smug in your post, but since you have made no point
I wonder what you are so smug about ? -
LOL, everyone of those quotes is after the fact..
Ya know, a lot of people actually believed OJ too... -
[ QUOTE ]
The bug is being worked on.
[/ QUOTE ]
The ignorance of the gaming populace never ceases to amaze me.
I will reiterate in the hopes of penetrating your neutronium skulls:
Issue #2 ran on internal test servers LONG before any of you
saw it on the player test server.
They knew exactly what they had when they released it.
Now you go on believing it was a "bug" and I will go on believing
that Statesman knew exactly what he had when he published. -
[ QUOTE ]
kay Veggie-Boy...time to put up or shut-up: Let's see the quotes from Statesman. Or do you claim to know what the man is thinking too.
That's what I thought. You may now go back to your regularly scheduled trolling.
[/ QUOTE ]
Statesman flat out said that the game was too easy and that he
wanted to change it to make increase difficulty and make it more
"fun".
You go dig up the quote, I doubt it even exists anymore since it is
over 30 days old. -
Oh lord..
You have no idea what you are talking about.
Issue #2 ran on internal test servers LONG before you ever got
your little mitts on it.
They knew exactly what they had. -
[ QUOTE ]
What we are experiencing (in the lower levels) are bugs and they are working on it
[/ QUOTE ]
Pffffttt...
The status effects added to the low level mobs are no friggin'
"bug", at all...
They were an attempt to slide the time scale up on the game and
it backfired big time in their faces.
All that crap was riding on the test server, and they knew exactly
what they had when it went live. -
[ QUOTE ]
Because I think
[/ QUOTE ]
And thus you lose again...
Unless, of course, you want to claim to actually know what the
man was thinking.
Otherwise you are just blowing hot air.
Care to give it another shot ?
I know you like the attention, so I'll continue to rub your face on
the ground if you want me to.. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm sorry Vegetator but he did not say that. I and Others said that.
What he said is it was not intended.
At least when you make a statment can you not be too full of it.
But still everyone knows I'm right.
[/ QUOTE ]
Statesman said prior to the release of Issue #2 that he was
going to up the difficulty to make the game "more fun" in his
opinion.
The status effects are not a bug, it was his idea of more "fun".
Now, feel free to press it further and I will rub your nose in it
some more. -
[ QUOTE ]
Again just my opinion and no, I won't be taking off my tin foil hat.
[/ QUOTE ]
Lil' States is back in action !!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../lilstates.jpg -
I'm sorry, but according to Statesman this is more "fun".
-
[ QUOTE ]
LOL..OH My god... good one, But...you're still an idiot.
[/ QUOTE ]
Gardvord Bows, and immediately sends Caliban over to Carmilla's apartment.
Don't try to troll the master !!! -
[ QUOTE ]
History Courses are classes taught By the Ignorant to the More ignorant?
[/ QUOTE ]
If you know anything about history, you know that more than
one version exists to most historical stories.
So, in essence, yes history classes are often taught by the
ignorant to the even more ignorant.
Simple case in point:
Japanese school children are taught that the United States
dropped nuclear weapons on them for no reason.
History is shaped by the victors and the tellers.
The truth is often never known. -
[ QUOTE ]
It seems to me

Also I thought

Opinions duly noted, and filed in the appropriate receptacle. -
[ QUOTE ]
XP gain? Not too different than it is now.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am starting to finally accept that.
Just give me a toggle so I can remove that nightmare XP bar that
keeps drawing my gamer-that-needs-rewards eye to it. -
[ QUOTE ]
And you saying "It might be better to set ego aside" is really rude and presumptuous.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I do not claim to know Statesman, but everyone that has
met him at the cons and listened to him speak says that he has a
dirigible sized ego..
But that's part of how you make "your" vision come to pass, it's
domination through strength of will.
Yes, his vision has been strong, but we have also seen it waver
(don't forget those famous lines about crafters and crafting)
and there are times when one has to set one's ego aside for the
good of the "project".
So, while it might be assuming for a player to say such a thing to
a developer, it is not necessarily without merit. -
[ QUOTE ]
I held out for awhile, Vegetator. I tried. I really did... but, I'm afraid:
[/ QUOTE ]
LOLOL..
I've been ignored by better than you, sonny.
