Best I could come up with after several atempts.
Melee:46.8 Rng:45 AoE:46.2
perma hasten, energise 0.86s from perma (though if the force feedback proc in Dragons tail procs you sould be able to get energise perma as well). I ran out of slots so I took vengence and dropped a lotg in it, you can replace it with taunt or take another attack and move slots from thunder kick into it; dropping the lotg and veng still leaves hasten perma nad enegisse 1.47s from perma. The trade off is this isn't as emempler friendly as your build, it took a few attempts so by the end i wasn't paying attention to the levels ech power was taken at, I'd rearrange the order of the power picks if actually playing it.

I got it working thanks, only played for about 30 mins but looking a good aside from the sound which is borked, but I usually turn it off anyway when playing, and oddly after alt-tabing out of the game to surf the web for a minute, when returning the number keys activae powers in the middle tray instead of the bottom power tray, notihng I can't live with though.
-
I'm hoping someone here with a lot of patience could help me, I've only started using linux(Ububtu) in the last year, so I'm not very competent. I'd really like to get this working on Ububtu and have 1 less reason to boot into windows, I seem to spend more time in windows than Ububtu, something I'd like to change as I prefer Ububtu for everything but some gaming. From my experiences so far, solving this first problem will lend to many many more soon after.
Following the instructions here:
http://www.carnildo.com/cohlaunch/index.html
-I have perl 5.12
-I have wine
-I've just installed xdelta 1.13 from the software centre
I downloaded Wget but not sure wht to do with a .tar.gz or where to extract it to.
- under synaptic manager I have:
libxml-simple-perl 2.18 ( i think that covers the XML::Simple requirement)
in .wine/drive_c/Program Files I made a new folder City of Heroes and put the cohlaunch.pl in there. I then done this:
Quote:david@david-desktop:~$ /home/david/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/City of Heroes$ perl cohlaunch.pl -renderthread 0
bash: /home/david/.wine/drive_c/Program: No such file or directory
david@david-desktop:~$
What have I done wrong, no such file or directory? The location of the file was copied from it's properties tab so I didn't mistype it. -
Should it ever become customisable I'd like to put forward the suggestion of a very large bomb ridden Major Kong style.
-
This si what I use for farming, it's cheap and nasty. I run fire ambushes so I focused on fire def over positional defences, vengeance is used to max defence but it's easy to find someone that wants PL'ed to supply the vengeance bait during farming.
Mocking beratment sets are brilliant for for 3.125% fire def and 7.5% recharge. Unfortunatly build is unable to do much outside AE, focused entirely on being an AoE Death Machine.

I've beeen trying to get some interest in starting an all thugs mastermind perma-team, if anyone is interested.
Enforcers leadership should turn the pets into an untouchable steamroller, secondays like dark/traps/pain/storm give plenty of debuff -regen for Avs and def auras help keep the players alive. -
I was curious of opinions on dual boxing controller duos, I started dual boxing on one machine a month ago and have played a few combos, mostly a brute or scrapper +defender. As it's one machine I mainly play one character and have the second on auto+follow.
Recently I had alot of fun with two cold/sonic defenders stacking leadership, and artic fog. My plan was to do the same this time with sonic stacking sonic dispersion and having disruption field on each other, having to be in melee for the fields debuff and having only cone aoes wasn't as enjoyable as I would have liked. I was thinking of redoing those two as earth/sonic, using the animate stone pet to anchor the disruption field. seems there would be better choices for a second controller, earth/therm, +res, +damage and heals, emp or a debuff set, no idea where to go with the second controller, seems a second sonic is over kill and not sure if earth should be changed as well.
Eath/sonic + ??(earth/therm, plant/ss, earth/storm, earth/kin, earth/emp, anything else)
Any ideas or opinions? -
Quote:Smite and MG slotting switched.
Reverse the slotting of Midnight Grasp and Smite. Put the Hecatombs in Smite because you use it twice in your chain, and that will give the proc more chances to fire.
Quote:Slot Siphon Life with a set of Touch of Death or Mako's Bite. You're a frigging REGEN, you are the last person that needs to slot that power for healing.
Quote:Honestly, I'd lose Touch of Fear altogether. The enemies it would be most useful against (AV's and GMs) resist the hell out of it's effects.
Thanks for all the help so far. -
Fixed the link in the original post, and came up with tis improvement:
+5.8% Melee Def, +8.3% Def to ranged and AOE, +17.5 rechage so the S-MG-S-SL chain is now doable.

Was hoping for some experienced players to improve on this build. It's got quite expensive sets in it but I plan on making it my primary character and willing to leave all other characters with SO to pay for this, so it's a money is no object build.

A few questions,
I believe from reading around forums that best ttack chain is, S, MG, S, SL, repeat. For which recharge needs to be:
2.1s on smite
4.6s on SL
4.4s on MG
My smite and MG don't recharge that fast, but is it close enpough? Should I take another attack?
Laser eye blast,
I only took it to slot Apoc set in for 16% more regen and 10% recharge, most say not to use it in part of the attack chain so I guess I can drop the 6th slot and the -res proc and place the slot elsewhere but where?
Fighting pool,
Worth keeping? 17.7% res to smash and lethal, 5.78% def to all from tough and weave. + set bonus from their slotting: 10% regen, 7.5%rech, 2.5% melee def.
Getting rid of those three would allow three more powers if there are even three worth taking. Alternativly how about droping Weave for touch of fear? 5.78 Def, lotg +rech nad 10% regen for the to hit buff in touch of fear which can be slotted for 5 or 6.5 recharge so the drop in recharge is only -2.5% or -1% not -7.5%? which would be more survivable? Would touch of fear effect attack chain too much? Fighting AVs Tof or Weave?
Recovery, is it enough slot more Stamina?
drop tough and weave for dark consumption+ ToF?
any other ideas? So awful start it over from scratch?
Shaow maul, when fighting a group is it useful or is it faster to stick to ST damage chain and kill the enemies one at a time? -
That appears to have fixed it, thanks.

I was trying to put a new graphics card and PSU into my computer, uninstalled the drivers for my nvidia card, turned the pc off and put in the new radeon card and replaced the old 350watt PSU with a 400-450PSU. It didn't work, I think the new card may be faulty as I got no signal on the monitor, so I put the old graphics card back but keeping the new PSU in and used system restore to return to a point just before uninstalling the old drivers. Now Coh gets stuck at the loading screen just prior to the login.
Edit: Also would be quite impressed if anyone could tell me why I can't get a second monitor to work with this set up, trying to get a second monitor to have dual monitors was the reason I got the new graphics card and PSU, was suggested to me the graphics card was to blame nad hece replace it. It still works fine but can't get a second monitor to work off it.
For clarity incase my rambling is overly confusing
old graphics card(currently in system): Nvidia 9400 GT
new card(didn't work so back in box) Radeon 5450
