No no, why would they do that when they have much more flexibility than I do? Anyway, the icon pack seems to have gotten their attention, as many of the worse icon inaccuracies have been slowly getting official fixes since I put that thing up. Anyway, I didn't do much I13 testing, and there are a lot of icon changes in the pack, so if you see any official changes to icons, let me know.

Ah, so it has. I'll update the pack once I get some time to sit down and work on the icons; I'm busy with finals right now, sad fact of life.
Right now I'm looking at adding targeted AoE borders to the Mastermind minion upgrade powers. To respond to the recent discussions about icons for ranged attack and drain-type powers: Ranged attack powers are quite hard for me to change, because of the way the tail end of the little arrows fade into the background, making the color of the symbol mix with the color of the icon background. Any icons with semitransparent symbols are very difficult for me to change with the tools I have. I'm willing to take another look at the drain-type powers, but I've done so once or twice before and always concluded that they're just too inconsistent and it's difficult for me to come up with a good, consistent method for designing those icons with the limited tools I have now. At best I would probably have the system for drain power icon presentation be decided on a per-power basis, which is basically exactly what it is now. -

Do you think there's an animation pose for what the Thug Bruiser does with the Motorcycle that could be ripped out and applied to any chqracter for moving making? It might require a lot of point manipulation to make it look like they're using a motorcycle, but without an animation for first sitting on the motorcycle there wouldn't be much point.

I did something similar before Thugs came out. I made myself a demo of my Mercs MM summoning his minions and saw that all the minions used the MOV "BASIC_SPAWN," even though the entrance animation was different for each minion. I was able to get one of my heroes to parachute in like the Commando by creating him as a Commando NPC model, telling him to do the BASIC_SPAWN animation, and then 1 millisecond later changing his costume to that of my hero. This demo still works today (no crashes) so it might work for making a custom hero ride a motorcycle in. However, since changing model skeletons in the middle of animations tends to make the demo player crash, I would guess that if the same trick did work for the Bruiser's motorcycle animation, it would only work for models using the "Huge" skeleton. -

Well technically both icons are accurate; Snow Storm both slows and -Recharges targets. Add that to the fact that icons with semitransparent symbols are the hardest for me to modify and I'm not too likely to make any changes myself.
As for the DoT aura icons, I don't really like how they turned out, especially the Fire Manip Blazing Aura. Looking at it objectively I matched the colors properly and whatnot, but it's just not pleasing to the eye. I'm not in a hurry to butcher more icons like that. -

The thing is the announcement clearly says that the Day Job system will provide real, tangible, in-game benefits. How good an idea is it, really, if in order to complete a tough mission it's recommended to first log off and get the Regen boost for Caregiving before attempting it? Or if one of the accolades for getting multiple Day Job badges is just the perfect title for your favorite character, only you can't play them while you're earning it? I just think it's not a good road to travel down. In fact, didn't Positron once say that WoW's "rested XP" system was rewarding players for not playing? -

Scratch that, now the file "ShadowFighting_ShadowPunch.texture" is actually used for Shadow Punch instead of Shadow Maul. Gotta delete it.

No, the icon pack still works fine. Future packs may be adjusted in response to changes, but the current one still doesn't break anything. (Except Galvanized, but who cares about that, right?)

I'm uh, not seeing a discrepancy in those icons. Other than the fact that Strike has a three-hit symbol and is one punch. Is that what you were getting at? -
It is possible to differentiate Crab Spider Armor and Fortification, but I don't really see any reason to. Crab Spider Armor is an auto power, it can't be in the tray, so it can't be confused with Fortification.

That's outlined in the OP. If you want to revert ALL of them, you can delete the entire Icons folder. I believe you could also go to the Control Panel and pick Add/Remove programs and remove the Power Icon Correction Pack.

Ok, I realize this may not be the correct place to post this, but as Vanden seems to have a better idea of how the power icons work than the devs, and the whole Q/A system is currently bogged down with other I-12 problems, I decided to come here first.
Having said that, I have noticed in the past few days that some of my power icons for powers from the Mental Manipulation blaster secondary are showing a solid black square background behind the round icon. This is especially noticable now that we can have our windows faded out.

Well, that's a REAL bug. I'm pretty sure the devs are working on fixing that. Here's what I think happened: The icons for the powers in Mental Manipulation that weren't pulled directly from Psionic Assault are titled the same as the Mind Control icons (MentalControl_<something>.texture). Some well-intentioned but misinformed member of the staff saw that and said, "Hey, these icons are all in the same set, but they don't match!" and changed the colors of the Mental Manipulation icons to the Mind Control colors. In the process, they somehow messed up the alpha channel, causing that black box to appear around the icon. (I have that problem sometimes, too.) In any case, I expect the devs to fix that themselves, so I haven't been working on a fix for it.

Well, you could look at it another way: rather than the timer meaning that the effect is time-limited, it means that with extra HP makes you recover more HP over time with your natural (and buffed) regeneration. Anyway, that was a requested icon because the old one was the same as Mind Over Body. Willpower for Stalkers has a self-heal that uses the typical heal power icon, so I didn't think it made sense to replace one identical icon with another when it was requested that I make the icon not identical. -

The Arachnos Gun C option for Arachnos Soldiers needs to have a bayonet attached to it so that the Bayonet power will make sense when used with that gun equipped.

It means now, instead of having the option to decline a mission that's offered to you, your contact will now insist, "Oh, but you must!" until you accept of course.
