  1. Took the router out and went directly from the ethernet port to the pc and nothing changed. I'm still getting the lag spikes. I'll try logging into the game tomorrow morning to see what happens, but since the connection lags even just checking email before I leave for work, I'm guessing that won't make a difference either.

I'm right there with you in hating shared connections. Getting my own connection is high on my list of "Things I Really Really Want". I just need my budget to open up so I can afford it

Anyway, here are the netgraph 1 screenshots:

Rubberbanding - The block on the very right starting with the spaced out yellow spikes is where it started. I was directly in front of my target, but he didn't see me and I couldn't use any powers because I was technically out of range. When the solid yellow chunk came out I snapped way back to where you see me.

I couldn't get a good example of the 'almost like I'm mapserving' I mentioned in the OP, so pretend these two overlap each other. The red chunk in the first shot would start making its way across the graph. Usually about halfway, maybe a little farther it hit me. I can't move or activate any powers, hence the mapserving feeling in the second shot. However everything and everyone around me can move like normal. I'm taking damage in that shot, and if that toon had Hot Feet she would be damaging the bad guy in front of her.

This was a random weird spike I caught. At that particular point I wasn't trying to move or attack anything when it started.
  2. Fixed. And I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days to make sure that's what I was actually seeing.

Note to self: never post when exhausted and frustrated
  3. HWMonitor after about 2 hours in game:

    Temperature 0 42°C (107°F) [0x2A] (SYSTIN)
    Temperature 1 39°C (102°F) [0x4E] (CPUTIN)
    Temperature 2 35°C (95°F) [0x46] (AUXTIN)
    Temperature 3 43°C (109°F) [0x2B] (TMPIN3)

    Hardware monitor NVIDIA NVAPI
    Voltage 0 0.88 Volts [0x36B] (VIN0)
    Temperature 0 52°C (125°F) [0x34] (TMPIN0)
    Fan 0 1350 RPM [0x546] (FANIN0)
    Fan PWM 0 30 pc [0x1E] (FANPWMIN0)

I did get some netgraph 1 screenshots, but Photobucket and my brain are not cooperating right now, and if I don't get to bed soon I will not be a happy camper when the alarm goes off at 5am . I'll get them posted when I get home from work tomorrow.
  4. Yeah... I had roughly $1000 to spend when I bought it, so I took your $725 build and upgraded a couple of the components. It's been great so far, other than these lag spikes lately.

Anyway, yes, it's a shared connection. We've actually had more than one person kill the connection for the entire complex because they configured their router wrong causing everyone to try to funnel through them.

If I remember correctly, when it rubberbands on me yellow spikes start showing up on the netgraph 1 that get pretty close together, and the level of green jumps up a bit. When I'm stuck not being able to activate powers in the middle of a fight, typically I will have a huge chunk of red that's made its way partially across. I'm done playing for the night, so I'll try to get some screenshots tomorrow night.

Same thing with the temps, I'll check it tomorrow night. The tower sits on top of my desk with nothing around it. I'm also in central Texas, so there hasn't been a drastic temperature change lately. We've been in the 90s for awhile now.

  8. Recently I've started having huge lag spikes and rubberbanding issues. I'm not sure exactly when it started, but it's been a couple weeks at least.

Essentially, I'll be going along my merry way, and suddenly I can't move or activate any powers. It's almost like I'm mapserving, except I can still see things going on around me. I can still take damage, and if I'm running something like Hot Feet I can still damage the bad guys. I can also see everyone and everything still moving like normal. It's just me that's stuck. Netgraph will show a large chunk of red coming across, then at the halfway point or so is when I get stuck.

Other times I'll run up to a bad guy only to discover none of my powers will activate, and they'll pretend they don't see me. 10 seconds later (or however long, I haven't timed it precisely), I'm suddenly 200 yards back from where I was just standing.

This happens in Guild Wars as well, and even simple internet browsing acts like this. I have a Cisco E1200 router, and the internet connection is provided by my apartment complex, so I go from an ethernet plug in the wall -> router -> PC, if that means anything to anyone.

My PC specs, bought February of this year: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=18249292

When it comes to network issues I'm pretty much clueless on where to even begin. Can anyone see anything off? CoH Helper, HijackThis, and pathping to follow.

    Thanks!

    Hey Justice!

You can vote once a day, so go back if you can.

At last check, Frog was closing in on the first page of the voting leaderboards
  10. Not as long as you vote twice for Frog

(You can vote once a day for anyone who doesn't know).
  11. Hi All,

I'm not much into participating in forums, but I have been keeping tabs on things here for the past 2.5 years I've been playing. I finally registered tonight so I could help out a friend.

Many of you may remember MisterFrog. He's currently on hiatus from the game due to real life interventions. Well, he's competing for a chance to be on the PlayStation Network's "The Tester" reality show, as well as a chance to work for Sony. Voting has begun, and Frog could use your help. Here's his link:

Vote for him, and he'll love you forever! Well, maybe not, but he would definitely appreciate your support.

    Thanks so much!
