A few Scrappers or Blasters, a couple of Defenders, and a Tanker. The downside is that you're only allowed 1 other "team mate" because your henchmen take up the other 6.

Quote:I haven't gotten any neg rep points for posting in a PK thread...haven't gotten any pos rep points with a comment about posting in a PK thread either. You're like the THIRD person that's gotten that.
Strangely enough, I'm at about 900 something rep, which means I had just as much negative rep too, and I've never ONCE gotten a "for STARTING a PK thread" neg. Strange. Maybe people should just stop replying to my threads and let them die quickly.
I guess I'm just one of those unknown Ood people. -
My brother has that show on DvD. We rold him he can't watch it until we finish the Voyagers series.

I got the _ taken out of my name. Now I'm TT instead of T_T
Thanks Niv. I owe you a game of Bowling. -
The line goes...
"and what the hell is that smell?!?"
followed by a couple of kicks to an alien that flew 90 billion light years to start a ruckus and some mumbling about a BBQ.
Oh...sorry,...wrong movie. -
You'll tell me if I bribe..er..give you some rum?

I have characters from both this universe and "other universes". Some are regular people who discovered a latent mutant ability during a moment of extreme stress, others come form a pocket of Quasi-space to assist humans in their quest for truth justice and the morally upstanding way. Still others were animatronic characters at an amusement park that were "brought to life" by a freak magical thingamajig.
I even have a character that's from another universe and is hunting Nemesis. At least I think it was Nemesis, I'll have to go check his bio again.
Many of the characters I have, haven't told me anything about themselves yet. Yes, I'm looking at you Miss Serenity Dark. -
Quote:From BaB: Early 2008.From what I understand it was late 2007, after NCSoft fully bought City of Heroes and started pouring cash into it, when the devs decided to begin serious work on power customization. Still, it'll amount to 18+ months of development time and untold man-hours. Any way you slice it that's a massive undertaking. Nothing is impossible, but 'possible' and 'worth the effort' are two very different things.
Still its been at least 16 months, if they started in March (I would bet Jan or Feb), and they still have some more testing to go. So, 18 to 20 months, give or take.
Quote:It seems to me that it is silly to think that 9 animations that are only a few seconds long takes 4 months.
You might want to rethink your assumptions. Or else actually learn a little bit about CGI and programming. Talk to BaB about animating powers in CoH. I'm sure he'll enlighten you. -

Quote:I never said that it couldn't be done. I just pointed out the SCR to you. Well, Steampunkette did, I just applauded her for doing so. She didn't say that it couldn't be done either. She just pointed out that unless you're intimately familiar with the code , you really shouldn't make assumptions about how easy/hard something will be.And just one last thing. Stop saying this type of stuff can't be done or is impossible or whatever else BS you keep wanting to talk about. You're wrong about it and you are just making it less likely to be done because your incesant annoyance about how it "can't"
I am fairly certain that the Dev team had started working on "power customisation" back in 2005 if not sooner. I suppose I could ask BaBs and see if he'd tell me.
Also, you are correct, power customisation, most likely, wasn't hard to code (Even BaB said it wasn't hard to do). It was tedious to animate, since they had to go through every animation for nearly every power and remake it so that colors could be added to them instead of the colors being "baked in". Not an easy task to get done in 6 months let alone 4 years. The question was not "could Power customisation be done". Obviously, it could. The question was, "Is it feasable to do power customisation." Obviously, it was, just not in the time frame that a lot of people seem to think it took. -

Quote:at 8:50 in the morning, I would have only been up for 20 minutes.\. You really expect me to think of everything that early? It's good that you're correcting one part, but then you got the levels wrong. It's 5-10 and 10-15. Yes, they overlap. At level 10 you can get EITHER mission (and it's random - not under your control).

Quote:I love to hear a good Standard Code Rant.I LOVE when people assume what is or isn't extremely easy...
It took them 5 years and hiring on dozens of employees to get Power Customization ready for release, and it might take even longer before they're ready for side-switching, which should seem incredibly easy.
Flag: Hero: Y/N?
If Y: Do not allow into zone: Grandville
If N: Allow into zone: Grandville
It takes time to alter anchor points, re-code the animation to fire from a higher point, or allow weapon customization. It could take weeks or months just to lay the groundwork for the change you're proposing.
Or it could take days. Or it could already be done. But don't assume it would be incredibly easy unless you're working on the engine, yourself.
-Rachel-You go girl
Tell that to BaB and I'd bet he'd tell you differently...after taking a couple of hours to laugh at your assumption. -
Quote:/Dark Defenders debuff with every attack. /ice slows with every attack. Would that count towards the "using buffs/debuffs" for the power bar?One of the solutions to Negligence that I've seen is for a Dominator styled buff / debuff power. Unlike Dominators, it's not tied to attacking, but tied to using your buffs / debuffs. As you use buff / debuff's, your Power Bar raises. When it fills, you can activate a Defense! power and effectively double the power of your buffs and debuffs for a limited time.
Do you see a pattern forming here?
There is only 1 inherent that I rely on in CoH/V and that is Fury. All of the others may or may not help at a crucial point. If I rely on them, they'll most likely fail me. -

Quote:You have that backwards, DBT.You get the "jump pack' by doing a bank mission (Atlas Park) levels 5 through 9. You get the "rocket pack" by doing a bank mission (King's Row) levels 10 through 14.
You get access to these missions by doing newspaper missions until the bank mission option opens up.
I assume you were on a team when you completed the 1st bank mission. Either get on a team that is doing the (King's Row) bank mission or go to Port Oakes & see your contact for the access to newspaper missions.
Hope This Helps!!
The flight pack is given out for the level 5-9 Mayhem mission. the jump pack is given out for the level 10-14 mayhem missions. -
Quote:well, on the old forums, I changed my name a couple of times. All within the first year. Then about 3 years ago I changed it to what I have now. Although, my avatar had stayed the same...until the move to the new boards.I kinda thought forum names made certain people easy to spot!
If I wasn't such an unknown quantity (according to my reputation) I'm sure some people would have noticed the name change. -
Quote:1) - It can be. Without Stamina, and with No end cost slotted, you can haemorrhage blue like nobody's business if you're travelling a long distance.
2) - Nope. Not unless your PC is so old and creaky that you get lag every time you jump. There's a 3 second hover attached to Teleport every time you jump.
3) - Nope. It's a maximum of 300 foot jump unslotted. 17.6 hops to cover a mile. Slotting will help, though.
4) - Not when you set up a bind. /bind ctrl+lbutton "powexec_name Teleport" for example, will set it up so that when you hold down Control and left Click, you teleport to the location you clicked on.
Fine control can be a little tricky with TP, but it's a skill you acquire through use.Quote:If you have stamina it doesn't really need more than 1 endred. Slotting it for range makes it quite fast - you can get the jumps to 450+ feet.
Don't let people trick you into thinking that Stamina is mandatory for anything. Save that job for yourself.

Quote:My view on humanity is that a person can be a genius. Put that person with ten dozen other geniuses and you'll have a group of the dumbest people in the universe.ah. Well, see, thats the difference. after my experiences both in the workplace and on the market forum here or the WoW forums..I'm rather cynical about the human race as a whole.

Quote:I think about 200 posts into the thread PK said he'd turned his Rep meter back on because it was being counter productive or some such.Because he, unlike Arthur, has the figure for it.
Also, you are a big lying liar who tells lies. What with your rep not turned off at all, and what have you.
Or as some political nay sayers would say nay...he flip flopped.
Ok, who messed with the smilies. I liked that blue-ish sarcastic one far better than the...one...we have now. -
My Ill/FF bubbles on the fly during combat. Its no big deal.

There are some people who will always have "endurance woes" because they have an Endurance bar. no amount of +recovery would be good enough for them. And to them I say, "You made your choice of how to play the game. Endurance management is one of the challenges."

Quote:My only response tho this is DUH!The problem is that defenders are underperforming compared to all the other ATs with with the same buff/debuff powersets.
You do realize that you are ignoring the possibility that Defender could actually be more in balance with the other ATs that you're not looking at than the Controllers. And, if that is so, then Controllers would, indeed, need to be tweaked a bit instead of Defenders. Balance is funny that way.
You can't remove 2 (or 3) ATs from the mix of 14 and say "X at is under performing among these 3 ATs, it needs to be boosted" the performance among of all 14 ATs needs to be taken into account.
