I'm on a PC. Went through all manner of rigmarole and evenutally tried repairing the connection (even though I'd experienced no problems with other applications). That seemed to do the trick.
Thank you for all the reponses. -
Very odd.
Ran the EU client as per normal last night, having played fine during the day, and the Updater could not connect. Instead it kept retrying. I normally get a connection straight away.
After about an hour of retrying (leaving the updater running and going to do something else, cancelling and restarting the updater and so on) I eventually got connected and could play as normal.
This behaviour is repeating itself this morning. I've not changed any settings for either my internet connection or the game. I've tried resetting my modem. The Updater will still not connect.
Is this a known issue? If so, what might I try to resolve it?
Many thanks for any light people can shed. -
If it is to be the case that non-USA players are simply not going to be able to be included, then I suggest that these competitions are not a viable promotional tool and something more effective and less divisive be implemented.
If memory serves, this is not the first competition that NCSoft has run in COH, and it is not the first wherein non-USA players have been excluded. Blaming the lawyers only works the first time - if the format is not appropriate, a different format should be used.
Excluding members of the playerbase, without some sort of recompense or equivalent competition, is not an appropriate format. -
Any room for a level 29 Earth/Fire Dom?
