<Hero name>
<mother's name> was always in love with bats and working as veterinarian at the Paragon City Zoo. One day she acquired a bizarre new species of bat that worked together with parasites in its mouth to hunt down prey and protect itself. The parasite would naturally make the host very ill and weak and eventually unable to move, but it didn't effect the species of bat. Shortly after discovering this she became pregnant and accidentally got bit by the bat. Fearing for her life, she did the only thing she would think would work and inject herself with the bat's blood in order to counteract the parasite's effects. She was hospitalized and stayed alive long enough for young <real name> to be born. However <real name> was born with features resembling those of a bat, including long claw-like fingers and toes, large ears, nocturnal vision, sharp teeth, and large ears. His father took care of him and home school him well, but always kept him out of society's eyes. <real name> was 17 when some robbers bust into his house at night and killed his father. Overcome with rage the young mutant killed the men in the darkness with his claws. Police found him and under the guidance of an honest police officer has been led to use his abilities to protect the innocent. He has taken up the name, <hero name>, to fight crime.

Costume: Would be normal skin, maybe a bit light. Large ears and monstrous hands. Brown hair and normal legs. Could be wearing a costume or bare-backed. Can be hairy or clean shaven. Maybe some goggles to shade the light so he can see in the day.
