My turn to go to bed now!
On a sincere, non-punchy note, I love how quickly an argument turned into something genuinely fun and silly. It's something I've always liked about this community. -

Quote:It's very possible I misinterpreted it, especially considering I have very little familiarity with Japanese culture (which, as you mentioned before, is important to have to appreciate the film). I may have unfairly associated him with that one girl's creepy step-dad.I dunno, I didn't see him as having actual romantic feelings towards her. It just seemed more like he felt that all the other students were trash (with most of them revealing themselves to be pretty terrible), and that she was some sort of ideal of what the youth should be like.
But I admit that I may have mentally misrepresented it, because making it a romantic thing would be pretty darn gross. -
Quote:Ok, 20 minutes are up, I could fly over, or you can just save us both time and effort and punch yourself. In the face, preferably.Awright, then go watch What's Eating Gilbert Grape. It really is my favorite movie of all time.
It's a very well-made, poignant movie without any violence or creepiness.
If you watch it, I maaaaay forgive you for devastating me.

Let me know how that goes. -

Quote:I saw it and... I dunno, kinda hated it, kinda tolerated it? The teacher's crush on his VERY YOUNG STUDENT grossed me out more than the violence. You so need to watch Battle Royale.
It's how I imagine high school was like for you. You know, that place you just graduated from last week.

Quote:I confess I totally flaked. In my defense, I was tired. And playing Minecraft. That's punching with emotions. I thought you'd be familiar with that.
Speaking of being on the east coast, this is a true story.
Picture Friday night, my last Friday night in the Bay Area. Out of the kindness of my heart, I invited Keetsie to join my dear friends for a movie and dinner, but she flakes out.
At the last minute, she calls, and I swear she sounds like she's crying.
Keetsie: "Hosun...I....choke....I didn't realize today was your last day in the Bay Area! Even though you told me that last week, and emailed me that today. Waaaaah! I'm so sorrryyy. I can't make the movie, I'm scared to drive alone, :-("
Me: "It's all right little one. Courage is a trait not all of us are capable of, especially you, since you're a girl. But hey, we're grabbing dinner in TWO hours, why don't you join us?"
Keetsie: "I....I don't know. I'm a-scared I may let you down by farting at dinner!"
Me: "Ahhh yes, I remember your lactose intolerance well. How about this, we're gonna hang out afterwards and play some board games, why do you join us? There's no milk to make you fart."
Keetsie: "Oh what a great idea, like every idea you always have! You're so smart. I wish I was smart. I'll be there for sure! Now I can stop crying! See you tonight!"
Me: "I look forward to your wonderful company, little one!"
So guess who DIDN'T show up? Hmmmm? Oh how I cried that night.....
PS, not every line may have been quotes verbatim. -

Hey hey HEY. People are getting along now and even making babies, so it's cool. If you like babies, that is.

If everyone gets along for the next 20 minutes, I promise to punch Black Pebble in the face.

Quote:And Black Pebble would wear his Leia costume, which made Tuesdays rather strange.True story. Tunnel Rat doesn't have a Leia costume.
She does, however, have Jabba costume, and she'd wear that to work on Tuesdays.
Sorry, I was just too busy carrying orphans across flooded rivers the day of the filming. My new job, "Being way the hell better than Black Pebble," has some crazy hours!
Plus, my dancing is a thing that must not be inflicted upon the world. -
One thing I'll miss about these forums is all your journals, Organica! There was a looong stretch of time where I was reading the market forums almost non-stop, and the advice I got from you and all the Crazy 88 members was huge in helping me to enjoy this game.
I had the pleasure of meeting several of the marketeers in-game on my "civilian" account. But this one post from your Zero to Awesome journal made my cold, capitalist heart leap for joy:

That one chatty player you mentioned? That was me! I was so excited to have an anonymous cameo in your posts, and not only that, you liked my bio! Glee! (I was playing on my Dual Pistols corruptor Shoots and Giggles at the time.)
So thank you for the journals and especially that one small, happy memory! -

Second time this week I've been rick rolled.
