Great turnout tonight folks and some really great costumes. So much so that we pushed the honorable mentions up to ten winners plus two patriotic honorable mentions. Those plus our grand prize winner made thirteen prize winners. The contestants in these CCs have made judging very difficult...hope to see some more of this creativity each week.

So without further adieu here is the first of our themed contest categories. We are going to start off with a fairly easy theme.
Tuesday July 13 at 10 pm EST: Best use of red in a costume. Bring your best red outfit; the costume does not have to be completely red but red should be the prominent focus. 100 million goes to the grand prize winner.
And remember Thursday July 15 at 10 pm EST we will have another 100 million costume contest. Just bring your favorite or best costumed look! -

I am pleased to announce that beginning Tuesday July 13 The American Legion Super Groups will be sponsoring weekly costume contests in Atlas Park. The contest will be held weekly; every Thursday beginning at 10 pm Eastern Time. The grand prize amount will be a minimum of 100 million influence.
The contest will be a traditional 'best' costume contest with no specific parameters. There will be a grand prize winner with the possibility of honorable mentions.
There will also be randomly announced themed contests each month with larger prize amounts...be sure to watch out for details on those on this forum!
I hope that all of you who enjoy making costumes will come out and participate in the contests and show off your tailoring skills. Hopefully this will help supply the demand for contests on this server.

Here is a timeline of the evening (All times US EST)
8:00 Best Male Costume, Best Female Costume
Contestants should begin lining up promptly at 8pm. Judging will begin at 8:10pm and conclude no later than 8:30. We will designate locations for the Male contestants and the female contestants to line up.
8:45 Scavenger Hunt
The American Legion sponsored Scavenger hunt will begin...contestants will have thirty minutes to complete the hunt.
9:15 Best American Revolutionary Costume Contest
A minuteman, Ben Franklin, etc. Judging will begin as contestants line up for the contest and will end promptly at 9:25.
9:30 Best Lowbie Costume Contest
Judging for the best costumed hero level 20 or lower. Judging begins as the contestants line up and ends promptly at 9:40.
9:45 Arena PVP
The Justice Girls sponsored PVP will begin and consist of a free for all contest and a straw fight.
10:15 Team Auction
A team of Justice Girls and American Legion SG members will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The team will do a task force, mission arc, etc on a mutually acceptable date with the winning bidder.
10:30 Best Secret Identity Costume Contest
A plainclothes costume contest. Judging begins as contestants line up and ends promptly at 10:40.
10:45 Best Team or Couple Costume Contest
Judging begins as contestants line up and ends promptly at 11.
11:15 Best American Historical Figure with Biography Costume Contest.
Contestants must have a biography describing who from American history their costume is portraying. Judging begins as contestants line up and will end at 11:30.
11:40 Best Red, White, Blue and Pink costume
Contestants must have all four colors of the event; red, white, blue and pink; in their costume to be eligible. Judging will end at 11:55.
12:00 Finale
There will be an end of the night giveaway prize for all who stay to the end of the event.
