  1. I've been playing an Ice/Ice Dom for the past few years.. I think. I have to say it's my fave toon, he rolls through PvE. I have to admit I only have the ST hold, Ice Slick, AoE Hold and AA from Ice/. I dont need the AoE Immob, everything is slowed down so much anyways, I wouldnt bother with shiver because I have too many other AoEs to throw down, I dont touch sleep, Jack isn't really useful unless you want slot mule. I find that /Icy/Ice really helps though, Chilling Embrace, Sleet, Frost Breath, ISC, Ice Storm help with that AoE and Slow.

I am IO'd out though, and there are much smarter builds but there is just something fun with this one. Being able to Power boost, Spring attack into the middle of a mob, survive the alpha and drop Glacier is a ton of fun. Yes, I do have 45.6% S/L defense, even more with PB. Sure the Ice/ part is quite weak but you can make it fit.. I love this toon, and I love how I am forced to be in the middle of the mob all the time for maximum potential, and when the mob is spread out and Glacier still hits everyone is just great. Also able to fit Hoarfrost into the build is just awesome.

When my toon got Perma-dom he got about 10x easier to play with the resistance to status effects because I usually take some aggro on a team. You really have to get bonuses to fit your play style to make it work.
  2. Yeah, he is a character I kept coming back to and I don't really think I paid much attention to those powers and just decided on GIS because I had it on an Ice Melee tanker. A while ago I looked at the damage on BIB and was like, woah, didn't notice that before o.O. Can't wait to slot it with Apoc :P
  3. Well it was a really tight build and for some reason I wanted GIS instead of BIB. It was probably because I thought it looked better :3. I saved over my mids build after I heard about the inherent stamina deal, otherwise I would post it.
  4. Hey, well I didn't even get a travel power, and I don't even have Ninja Run.. and it's not like my guy isn't any good right now, so he is only going to get stronger, which I am happy about.
  5. At the time it didn't seem to fit my build/play style, but I am set on getting it in i19. I am modifying it a bit to have more efficient endurance usage.
  6. I have a level 50 Ice/Ice/Ice Dominator who I play in melee range for most, if not all of the time. (Usually depends on the team, because planting TAoEs can take a lot of endurance)

I don't know how much I have spent on this build so far, but he is my main character so it would be worth more the 2 billion inf. I can solo x8/+2 missions and just yesterday I went up against a mob of freakshow set to x8/+4, I managed to kill the 2 bosses and all but 3 minions before I needed blue inspirations, but I didn't have any on me at the time. With i19 coming out, I should be able to solve most of my endurance problems and finally get Bitter Ice Blast which will help with taking out bosses.

I know this is about a melee Dom and not all of my attacks are melee but I have to be in the middle of a mob to get full use of Glacier and my slow auras.

    So yeah, they are capable.
  7. I have a lvl 50 Ice/Ice/Ice dom that truly dominates with perma-dom on, I am really close to soft cap (44.4%) S/L def atm, because I play a lot in melee range. So far, the endurance cost to constantly put out stuff like Ice storm, Sleet, Ice patch and then AoEs such as ISC and Frost Breath requires you to use blues from time to time, but I am waiting to see how the next issue affects it. I spent a LOT of inf on the IO build so it doesn't show right away and your play style once you hit 50 may be quite different from when you get permadom and some S/L def (if you decide to go that route).
